Memphis is a pilgrimage for those wanting to visit the birthplace of the blues, of soul and of rock 'n' roll. On Beale Street, W.C. Handy put down on paper the first written blues music. Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash all recorded at the historic Sun Records, which is now a museum. Graceland, the second most-visited home in America, welcomes visitors from around the world who yearn for a peek into the life of "the King." Beyond the music, Tennessee's largest city also offers much more. It has more sunny days each year than Miami, and combines southern tradition and hospitality with modern amenities. You'll enjoy great dining (be sure to sample the barbecued ribs), art galleries and exciting nightlife.

If you are looking for a good meal in a place where you can have drinks in a laid back setting, this is it. They have a good selection of southern food. I had a shrimp po'boy and my husband had the fish plate. The portions were large and the food was tasty. They also have a lot of local beers on tap. Our server was very open to helping us decide on our selection.

This place is the same as it has been many years ago. Even the bartender is there since 1992. Very old, but so interesting to experience. The only thing on the menu is the soul burger, which was good, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. The music was awesome. Second floor is awesome and creepy.

The eggplant pasta, Cajun chicken pasta and chicken in pasta with spinach and cream sauce dishes were excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere, good service and love that it is open late!

The gleaming brass door has graced the entrance to 152 Madison Avenue since 1905. Today, behind the Door youâll find a meeting place, a haven and refuge for Memphians of all walks of life: Journalists and poets, Gooners, Outlaws, musicians, cab drivers, r
I've been visiting Memphis all my life, and I've never had a better meal in Memphis. I was there on Thursday night: steak special night. So I had the 10 oz. rib eye with the chef's own chipotle butter, loaded baked potato, wonderful salad, and a perfect pint of Guinness, all for about $20. Excellent, fast service. Wonderful decor. Great music/videos on the over-bar TV. Can't wait for the "full Irish breakfast" tomorrow!

We visited Westy's specifically for the Mud Pie and were not disappointed. When asked about a local favorite we were told about Westy's. There were 3 of us (2 teenagers 13 &15) and we all shared the Mud Pie. My 15 yo admitted he could have eaten a whole one alone. However, the portion served was ample to share. The staff was friendly and service quick.

Jerry Lee Lewisâ Cafe & Honky Tonk is located on World Famous Beale Street in the heart of downtown Memphis. It's walking distance from the Fedex Forum, making it the prime location to stop and eat before the big game or concert. We open early and stay op
We went here every evening during our recent stay and even though we went on to other bars, this became our favourite.Really really good service, best we had anywhere. Entertainment was great, food too was a nice surprise and all reasonably priced. There was a really good atmosphere with people getting up to dance. The young pianist/singer was fabulous. Loved it.

Stopped for a middle-evening meal. Ordered their saloon sliders which were tasty. Couple decent beers and made a good drink as well. Our waitress was friendly and quick. Place was usually loud and it wasn't from the patrons it was the music. I like a loud place that's fun maybe with live music or dancing, etc, though this just seemed loud. Ok, yeah, I'm 50+ so take it as you will!

We stopped in for a beer or two before eating dinner elsewhere. Beer selection to choose from and the service was great as the server offered excellent information about the different beers and provided tastes before selecting a beer. Mid afternoon so it was reasonably quiet. Definitely on my return list when back in Memphis.

Hueyâs has been serving up Blues, Brews, & Burgers since 1970. Perhaps the most unique characteristics of our Hueyâs locations are the graffiti wall and shooting toothpicks into the ceiling! Our mouthwatering burgers have been voted Best Burger since 1984
An awful meal. Food is swimming in grease and not drained. I ordered butterfly shrimps which didn't taste very nice because of all the oil. They use frozen chips rather than fresh but they taste quite good. Wine is not available in a bottle but served up in a glass. Waitress service was good but the most horrible meal! Avoid!Katie, Thank you for visiting Huey's. We're so sorry to hear about this experience. Please know that we take all reviews very seriously and use it to continuously improve our services. We would like to discuss this with you more detail. I will send you a private message so we can talk. Thank you.

South of Beale is Memphis' first gastropub! At the bar, we focus on unique cocktails along with local / regional beers from the area. Our food menu is new-American style with a few extra twists!
After touring the Civil Rights Museum we wanted a place to relax & wind down; this was the ideal place a short walk from the museum. Our server, Alyssa, was great. My husband had the Italian Sandwich & I had the Penne Pasta, both were fabulous. The prices were extremely reasonable. It was a great find
