What a find! A bit off the beaten path, but worth every extra mile. My husband is Slavic, so were excited to find a place that served authentic cabbage rolls. Crissy, the young lady who runs Emil's, is a delight. Very friendly....came over to our table to just talk, so she and my husband got into a real neat conversation about "the old country." His cabbage rolls were excellent, and my rueben sandwich was definitely the best I have ever eaten - loads of corned beef, nice and lean; tasty grilled bread...just amazing! Wish we lived closed so we could return. Very reasonably priced.

Long-running Pittsburgh-born chain known for sandwiches piled high with coleslaw & french fries.
I know this is a heresy around here but Iâm not a Primanti Bros. fan. Their huge sandwiches not withstanding, the fries get cold and soggy quickly, the slaw is nearly tasteless, and the service slow. To top it off the room was noisy even though it was only about 1/3 full, the decor was old looking and everything was dingy, including the glasses and silverware.

A friend took us here recently on our way to Pittsburgh. It is an easy off/on from the parkway. Nothing fancy but great service and good casual food. We sampled some of their dogs, wings and pizza. Plus some tasty bloody mary's. Everyone liked what they had, Definite spot to keep in mind if you have time before/after a game. Also ... make sure to check out the beer cave.

We ordered 3 dozen wings to go, the regular seasoning and the garlic and butter wings. The garlic wings were so greasy I just couldn't eat them because they just seemed so unhealthy. The regular season wings were not so greasy and with the extra crispy tasted great. Our "to go" service was quick and they were ready on time as promised. It was difficult to get any wait staff's attention for about 5 minutes but finally we got the wings and left for home.

Stopped by for early dinner. One server for about 8 filled tables. Had to seat ourselves...nobody around and girl at bar did nothing. Wanted to order. Waited for drinks. Waited for appetizer. Waited for food. Waited for bill. Waited for receipt. Theyâre not in any kind of hurry. One server! Ordered the top steak and was disappointed...too much fat, tasted ruined, old. Must make profits from bar. Will not return...not customer attentive.

We went with another couple for a night out. We had a very good time and the food was great. We got pizza and it was really good. A lot of spicy meals if thatâs your thing. Staff was friendly and food came hot and fast. Nice place inside and restrooms were clean. Good beer selection but only their own, no outside options. I would have liked a booth but not too fussy about a table, other than they are really close to each other. Definitely going back.

The sandwiches were huge and yummy. Hardly any wait for a table. Relaxed atmosphere. Might need to park a bit away and walk.

Let me start by saying that this is a bar. They do serve alcohol and people do smoke inside. Now that has been said, they do have seating outside at a few tables that do have umbrellas to block some of the sun. When you want to order you have to order inside. They will give you your drink of choice then and will then bring your meal outside to you when it is ready. I had the cheese burger. It was very good and came with fries. I would absolutely order it again. The meal including the tea with it was less than $7. They have standard bar foods so if there is a typical bar food that you like they will probably have it there. My friends and I were cycling along the Great Allegheny Passage and this was a good place for us to stop for lunch along our 50 mile day. The staff also filled all of our water bottles (7 of them) with some ice and fresh water for free. They didn't have to do that but they did and that alone is worth something to those along the trail.

We dined at Clancy's with a group of 7. It is a neighborhood bar, so it wasn't crowded and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The menu offers a big variety with lots of choices. Our favorite item was the chicken wings. They were hot and crispy, and could be ordered with seasoned salt and/or a variety of sauces. Sides were also tasty. We will definitely return next time we're in the area. The service was a bit slow, but tolerable.

This bar is awesome! In the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, it is a nice break from the world outside. The kitschy decor and upbeat attitude of the staff made our experience a great one! I had a tropical mixed drink and my husband a beer and both were really good. The mixed drink was not watered down at all so itâs a good thing we ate food or I would have needed some assistance to leave. LOL This is a bar we would most definitely revisit if we find ourselves in Pittsburgh again.
