Things to do in Maryborough
Just had the most amazing range of tapas with drinks! Each dish was fantastic in taste and beautifully presented. The service was nicely balanced with chit-chat and time to enjoy. Don't be put off by the light prices.... you won't leave hungry! Be sure to try the bush donuts. Looking forward to dining again when we are next in town.

We took a wrong turn caught in a typical Qld rain storm and it was just bucketing down. So we called in for some lunch while the storm eased. A locals tavern indeed they made us very welcome as we were drenched just from getting out of the car. Had what I would consider to be very good pub fare nicely cooked and very pleasantly served. So give all the staff a salute for looking after us and it just goes to show these locals can compete with any big city hotel anywhere.

We all had the $10 lunch special: all you can eat. There weren't a lot of options really and everything was sort of old fashioned, school camp style food. Curried sausages, chicken drumstick casserole, mixed veggies in white sauce, generic salads. Jelly and ice cream for dessert. There was, however, one AMAZING highlight. After a tray of "something" crumble was finished in the dessert area it was replaced by a deliciously light sponge slice with fresh cream and raspberries. It saved the day!!!

My husband and I went to the Carriers for lunch and left feeling disappointed ! We ordered roast of the day at around $17 ,knew it would not be a huge meal ,but it was very disappointing ! 3 small pieces of lamb a very small piece of pumpkin and potato, 4 slices of carrots and 4 beans ,and some gravy (more like a kids meal ) .We are not big eaters but did leave hungry and I stopped at a bakery on the way home to buy my husband a sausage roll. The roast lamb was very tasty but was not good value at all ,will not eat there again !

Had a meal on a saturday night. Luckily we were tgere early as it was all booked out later on. We enjoyed the chinese selection and salt and paper squid entrees. Very yummy and plenty there.Mains were garlic prawns and the special flattie and squid. Again very generous servings and both presented well and hot. Meals were delicious. If you have young teenage boys. You will not be disappointed. If you prefer smaller servings they also had choices available. Thoroughly recommend.

My hubby and I had lunch here today ( Saturday). Hubby had the lunch rump and I had the butternut pumpkin salad. The steak was cooked to perfection with nice salad and chips and mushroom sauce. My salad was so nice, with avocado, apple, nuts, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot and of course pumpkin. The dressing on the salad was very yum as was the whole meal. The meals were of a good size and very reasonably priced.Would certainly recommend.Good Afternoon Shirl071Thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant. We are glad that you both enjoyed your lunch and I have to add "the pumpkin salad is one of my favourites". I have passed your comments onto our team as I know they love knowing about our reviews. Country style hotel serving lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday; great lunch specials - 250g black Angus rump, crumbed local whiting, seafood basket - local prawns, whiting, scallops, chicken schnitzel, Moroccan chicken salad all only $15.
A group of friends and I go on most to lunch around Maryborough most Fridays. In September we tried the White Lion hotel. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had a chicken schnitzel with a creamy garlic prawn sauce, YUM. Looking forward to going back. Nice size lunch and friendly staff
