Went in to this place for drinks and maybe something to eat. Took 10 minutes to have Waitress take our order and another twenty minutes to just get our beers. Dress code of the wait staff is a lot to be desired. Dress like they are going to a pajama party not to work. Cut off sweat shorts are a bit to causal even for a bar. Not busy at all for a good reason. Will not be returning to this place. Not sure if a owner problem or management problem. But sad cause it could be a great place.
It's good bar food. Tacos are very good - Americanized. Deep-fried mac and cheese bites - can't go wrong! They also have a nice drink selection.

We had never been to The Wanagan Grille at Manistee National so thought we would give it a try. Our first experience was a very delightful one and we will go there again. Our server "Jessica" was certainly a very personable young lady and we enjoyed her and her kindness and bubbly personality. Our food was "FABULOUS," kudos to the chef Brian Kissel and his staff. For sure THE WANAGAN is truly an asset to Manistee!!
Ate dinner here as buffet was closed. I had the broasted chicken and my husband had the perch dinner. Both dinners were delicious. Our server was very attentive. We would definitely eat here again.
Chapo's Northside. Went for late lunch on a Monday, Out of perch, had hamburgers. Fantastic!!!!!!!!! Steak fries, cooked perfectly. Good selection of cold beer Tip to the proprietor, get some Tony Chachere's for the table. It is magic for white potatoes, your steak fries deserve better than ketchup or salt.Second visit Thursday night. Perch dinners. Oddly fishy, not thrilled. On a sandwich with tomato and dressing it was OK, but with a fork not as mild as most perch. Beer and fries were still great.

First visit to North Channel. Had been recommended by a friend. My husband got a beer, and I had water. Very friendly and helpful staff that make you feel at home and valued as a customer. We came on a Monday afternoon so it was pretty slow. Variety of seats/tables. High chairs with hard wooden seats, metal stools - the kind that hurt your derrière after a while, booths, and regular tables. Merchandise for sale - shirts, pint glasses and beer glasses, etc. view of the brewing area. Several TV screens up high broadcasting sports. We had the nachos with the brisket. Wow! Excellent. The brisket was everything you want brisket to be - flavorful, some crispy fat - very flavorful, great meat, just delectable. We will be back. Menu - although gluten free items are not called out or noted, they do have a gluten free bun option for burgers. Soups and salads available without wheat. Menu had a few hard ciders and wines in addition to the beer. Outdoor patio available for eating outside. Wheelchair accessible. Large parking lot available across the street to the east.

The Fillmore was envisioned, designed, stocked, and staffed with one mission in mind to inspire local love, to invigorate downtown Manistee, to preserve the past of this beautiful place and move it into the future! Our dream was born from a love for beach
We had dinner at the Fillmore on a Saturday night. We had reservations for four. (I was happy to hear they took reservations.) They seemed uncertain about where to seat us when we arrived, and it went from there. Slow start with quite a wait before anyone took our drink order. Drinks came in stages, two, then another, and no drink for our fourth guest. He was first told they had no soda for his vodka/soda. His second choice was a no show. We asked our server again about it, and then had to ask the manager. Come on. We go out to enjoy good food and friendly, competent service. Not to be put on edge. Food arrived, but no napkins or silverware. And the server stood at the end of the table and passed the food out. We each had to reach and take our plates. It was annoying, and solidified our negative impression of the service. Hereâs the toughest part...the food was wonderful. Really delicious. Key lime shrimp pasta, fabulous salmon, great wrap sandwich . We would love to go back to eat that lovely cuisine again, but we wince at the thought of having to suffer through more dopey service. We appreciate your feedback regarding your service. Please, accept our apologies for the delayed and less than excellent service. The issues with the drinks on this particularly evening involved unfortunately waiting for a part to run CO2 for almost an hour - it was a malfunction that has been corrected. We hope you give us a chance to redeem our service. If you'd like to discuss this more please e-mail [email protected].

The Painted Lady is located in Manistee, MI it is the oldest operating saloon in town. The bar and tin ceiling are original from when it was built back in the late 1880's. When Bob and Linda Venne bought the building in 1994 they turned it into The Painte
Best Bloody Mary in town! Great to go to a breakfast place where you can get a Bloody Mary or Mimosa. Breakfast is delicious also. Service is fast and very friendly.

This tiny place (a dozen tables?) was one we were willing to wait for, but they were able to seat us at a table in the very back right away on a busy weekend night during the dinner rush. We felt lucky! The drink specials were great values. They only offered two desserts, so we had one of each, and the lava cake was fantastic! I wish our wait staff didn't seem to upset/sad/depressed, but they were polite and brought us our food.
