The booth seats are wooden. I finally stood up to relieve the discomfort. The "noise" emitting from the speakers was annoying. I did not go there to listen to their selection of "music".The sandwiches were adequate, but higher in price than comparable nearby. The onion rings....don't bother. The service was excellent (I take back the above "not one good word". Upon departure I was informed they have pads for the hard wood booths. Nice timing. Oh my sore....

With one of the Connecticut shoreline's largest selections of craft beers on rotation (13 taps and counting), delicious food, and a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, KC's Pub is a local gem not to be missed! Located in a convenient yet quiet spot right of
We have been going here for years. The meals here have always been well portioned, consistently great, and the staff has always been friendly. Highly recommended! Our favorites are the Irish nachos (waffle fries with corned beef, cheese, jalapeños), the homemade chips with house made aioli dip, the cheeseburger wrap, and California panini. Also you MUST try their house made honey mustard and also the house made hot sauce. They also have Sam & Oliver sauces, made by a company based right here in Guilford. Awesome beer selection is always rotating and can be viewed on the BeerMenus app! Great for families with kids too.

A fairly popular restaurant in an area that has a dearth of them. Most successful restaurant in this venue since the lamented Noodlesâbut that's not really saying much.Restaurant area was crowded since the church nearby was host to a concert at 7P, which we attended. Two female servers weren't exactly overwhelmed, but they were slowed down perceptibly. Bar area was crowded. Don't know how many staff people were working there. The four of us had fish and chips, caesar salad and wings, American chicken wrap, and the pastrami reuben. All seemed ok except for the chicken on the caesar salad, which was cold. Don't know about the kitchen, but food was served fairly slowly, leading us to believe that the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed and/or understaffed. All in all, it seems the restaurant portion of the place is understaffed, but our experience may well have had to do with the 7P concert. At any rate, the food was served fairly slowly for a place of this type, leading me to think this place is currently much more interested in its barâas opposed to its restaurantâtraffic.

Just off a fishing charter, my brother has been telling me about this place for years, owners and we have a hometown, high school connection. Enough history, really nice upscale pub atmosphere, dropped in mid afternoon good beer selection, super friendly service, just a real comfy feeling, had some wings which were excellent and saw some big trimesters sandwiches coming out from kitchen. Really nice place

We had eaten here before and found it to be good. We met here before heading over to spend the afternoon at Hammonasette State Park, it is conveniently located a short distance from the park.We shared the fried avocado appetizer, then all ordered the Reuben which we enjoyed very much. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is OK.Â

The Wharf Restaurant is located inside the Madison Beach Hotel overlooking the Long Island Sound. Open year-round, this location is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with a water view and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy the natura
This deservedly popular restaurant has the most beautiful view of LI Sound and across to Long Island. Right on Madison Beach, the covered veranda is a choice spot for meals while watching sailboats right offshore. Connected to the gorgeous AAA Four Diamond-rated Madison Beach Hotel in the pretty town of Madison CT, this was a perfect spot for our summer lunch with friends. The food was exceptional - everything we had was delicious from mussels, sandwiches and salads. However although the waitstaff was very pleasant, service was really odd. We had to ask twice for our table water glasses to be filled, some of us got lunch menus and others got dinner menus (replaced with apologies), no spoons were provided with the soup, a couple of glasses of wine took 15 minutes to arrive as did later coffee and a plate was snatched from one diner while they were reaching for a french fry. Not what one expects from such an upscale place. We are always happy to be patient when a restaurant is popular and busy and no one of these issues was really terrible, but the cumulative effect was one of inattentive service. That said, we would definitely go again and would guess that a Sunday brunch here would be wonderful.Dear VoyagesByTwo -Thank you for your review! I regret that our service was not up to par, and appreciate your frank and valuable comments. We take great pride in our level of service and I regret that we missed the mark with your table. Please come again so we can provide the experience you expected and deserve. And, yes, we have a fabulous Sunday brunch!
