Went in for evening meal whilst staying at the Allseasons opposite.I was very impressed with the Lacon's Yarmouth Red that was on offer amongst three other ales and proceeded to demolish the rest of the barrel! I had haddock and chips which was beautifully cooked in possibly the best tasting batter I've ever had! Not too many chips (too many I find off-putting) and peas. My partner had the sausage and mash, which came with an assortment of veg to which she was equally pleased. All round, and good night had. The staff too, are very pleasant and helpful.Thank you for the lovely review. We look forward to seeing you again

My wife and I always go here on a Tuesday night, when in the area. The all you can eat buffet is superb - lasagne, casserole, beef chimichurro(?) - all brilliant, and a snip at £8.50 including dessert. There are some superb ales on: Trawlerman, Adnams etc.. The staff are friendly and the pub has a lo vely warm buzz to it. Heaven!

The Duke's Head has been taken under new management. This change came into affect Monday 26th March.
Thought weâd try this pub for a Sunday lunch as only about 10 miles from home. No disabled parking, did see a car drop someone off outside the door then park. Car park is stoned so not ideal for disabled people. Went in and asked for a table for two at 12:20pm and was told there isnât a table available until 15:15. . As we didnât want to wait 3 hours we went somewhere else. The pub was almost empty at that point, so not sure what time the tables were booked for. Maybe they shouldnât book all their tables out so that if there are walk ins they can provide a service? As we didnât eat here I canât comment on food or service, but first impressions are they are either extremely busy or extremely slow. May try again at some point, weâll see.

We are a Marstons 2-4-1 pub therefore all of our mains and Pizzas are 2-4-1 and the cheapest meals are free. We have a specials board that changes daily and we have a new pizza kitchen as well. It's open topped to, so you can even watch your pizzas being

We dined at this restaurant a couple of years ago whilst on a visit to Lowestoft. Following a successful visit, we decided to repeat the experience and were not disappointed. Three of us enjoyed a nice meal, beautifully cooked. All the staff were very friendly too. The restaurant is nice and airy and offers beautiful views over Oulton Broads, particularly nice when the sun is out! We shall certainly come back to the Wherry Hotel again on a future visit.

The Commodore Serving Food - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday - 12 - 8 Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 12 - 9
what a beautiful spot, possibly one of the best locations for a pub i have ever known, just a shame about the pub itself. it is not terrible but if it was not for the view it is not somewhere i would go.the bitter was much to cold, such a shame to have a nice pint of local bitter be ruined by not being kept at the correct temperature, the food we had was ok it was basically a KFC bucket of chicken just 4 times the price. the main problem was the staff kept over charging for the drinks, don't know if this is policy or incompetence but over the 3 visits i went there this happened once each visit, only 20/40p but if they did this to every one it would add up!it is such a lovely location though i would go back just eat before and keep an eye on my change

We always visit here when in Pakefield and have the chicken and chips. We were a bit put out that the price had increased since last year, but it was still plentiful and tasty. There is a good selection of ales. I drank the Adnams Ghost Ship, which was very good. It does get very noisy inside the pub - very busy - so we sat outside. Worth visiting.
