Iconic Maryland bar and restaurant serving famous crab dip, fresh & never frozen 100% beef burgers, fan-favorite wings, a $7.99 lunch menu, and a wide selection of local, craft, and specialty beers. Always a good game on TV, and every seat has a good view
The Five Points/Lewes restaurant is a very good "Turtle" location, with nice outdoor tables. We've been to several Turtles in and around the DC/MD/VA area and this one is right up there. Same pub menu and maybe a quieter ambience makes this a good solid choice for a family lunch or dinner.

This location used to be a restaurant called the Buttery. Now, the 2nd Street Tavern has outside seating that allows doggy side dining. We had all 4 of our Westies with us and found a large table with lots of room. My wife had a Spinach Salad and French Onion soup. She was very happy as were the doggies since she shared. I had a Shrimp Po Boy with fries. It was so good that I didn't share with my doggies. I enjoyed beer with lunch and wife had wine. Doggies give this place 5 barks.

Lunch was nice & quiet, usually dinner is noisy (something about the openness). Food was great, it was my birthday lunch - I had crab cake, fresh cut fries & green beans; excellent. My friend had fried oysters, mac & chs & stewed tomatoes; excellent and alot of it. Prices were right on. But if you want to save alittle go for early bird specials & get my meal $2. off & the oysters $4 off. My daughter & her husband had soup & sandwiches. Her husband said instead of the crab cake sandwich he wished he got the meal that I got.

Wife & I dine here often and count our favorites as Shepard's Pie, Beef & Guinness Stew, Fisherman's Pie, Corn Beef & Cabbage, but there are many other excellent menu choices including their Fish & Chips, Burgers, and sandwiches.Food and Canal View are their calling cards but the service is also always excellent as is the management's involvement in presenting a terrific venue for their patrons.

We stopped here for lunch and found a welcoming staff and good service, food and plenty of beer choices. The atmosphere is more intimate than you might find in other brewery restaurants, so you can actually have a conversation and enjoy yourself. On the downside, I can imagine they get very busy and can run out of space, so plan ahead. The Hammerhead IPA is excellent.

We shared the bitterballen (stuffed meatballs) - slightly dry but tasty and the harissa aioli was a very nice accompaniment and the poutine - which was excellent! I ordered the lobster roll and my husband the chicken and waffle. The lobster roll had a bit too much seasoning and for the amount, was pricey. However, I am picky with lobster rolls and prefer a soft, toasted, buttery bread. The fried chicken was tasty. Everything was made with quality and the service was excellent. We shared the pb pie on the way home - yummy and decadent!
