Upon arrival to this pub, it looked rather typical. We ordered some beers and asked the bartender food recommendations. Thankfully he told us about some unusual weck wings that were not on the menu yet and were just amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly to our specifications. Definitely a local vibe with some super friendly people. Bartender was awesome. Highly recommended pub fare.

The wings were excellent and the beer was cold. That is a winning combination. We ordered a double order of wings with two or three different sauces in varying degrees of heat. All were very, very good. We also ordered a chicken pesto wrap. It was also very good. In hindsight, we probably should have order a triple order of wings and not had the wrap. Try the house Trainwreck and Lighthouse beers. Thanks to Kelly for the great service. BTW, there is rooftop seating when the weather permits.
We took a couple friends here for something to eat and some beers the food is amazing... we had Steel City Burgers, chicken wings, make your own burger, and a turkey sub food is always amazing huge portions for cheap amount of money also cheap beers if you go during happy hour and it's just your down-to-earth Corner little bar where stuff is very reasonably priced the bartender Lori was great......there is a front patio for the summertime time and they keep the doors open and they're six or eight tables in the bar area and then some in the back it's not a really big place but it's a cool Corner little place where you usually get the best amount of food.We will definitely go back the food was that good one day we want to come for the big ass tacos and the specials during the week sound great if you just don't feel like cooking and want something fast

Stopped by for dinner at 6pm last evening . My wife and I were seated by a greeter who seemed hesitant and not sure where to seat us. Restaurant was not very busy and several servers passed by us and said nothing. Further we were clearly in sight of the bar and it was obvious we had not been served.I can understand things happen and tables can be missed. But all it would have taken was for any server or the bartender to acknowledge us and say that someone would be with us soonWe sad for 10 min+ and left . This situation with proper training could have easily have been avoided.Hello,We're very sorry for your experience. Upon review of this situation, we're pretty sure that you were seated amongst a group from the bar that had taken over a few of the neighboring hightop tables. Because of this, we think your server may have been confused and thought you were part of that party, that wasn't being actively served. This was an oversight and a mistake and we apologize. We'd like to make it up to you - please email us at [email protected] and we will try to make it right so you can give us another try. We're confident your experience will be much improved upon a return visit. Our apologies again, we hope you understand. Looking forward to hearing from you. Established in 1981, THE NINE-ELEVEN TAVERN has been a popular meeting place for the people of South Buffalo. The select menu features the well-known Buffalo Chicken Wing and standard tavern fare. A dining room with attached deck and patio are offered as
Discovered this place from family living in south Buffalo. Located off South Park in south Buffalo. Parking lot across the street and also on the street. This was the first request my daughter had as far as having a meal when she arrived for a visit. She has been living in Shekou/Shenzhen China for the past 6 years so not too many places there for good old Buffalo born wings. Straight from the airport on 7/5/17. Meeting up with other family-stepdaughter and her husband. This place is a typical casual, not fancy neighborhood bar/pub/tavern that also serves a limited menu of bar type food. Wings, chicken wings, fries. On a previous visit one in our party had the corned beef sandwich which he raved about. There is an area of tables inside and an area of tables outside. We requested an outside table shaded by a large umbrella. Note-you will not be seated until all of your party arrives. That was fine with us as we had some drinks at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. There is no A/C inside so sitting outside was the more comfortable option for us as it was a warm, sunny day. We ordered 30 wings-crispy, medium. An order of seasoned fries, an order of plain fries, and a single order of plain chicken fingers. Our server appeared to be the only one taking orders and bringing out the food so she was busy. At one point we saw the bartender deliver some food to another table. Even though there was a wait for our food it was worth it. Our server had told us there would be a wait for our food to come out and we were fine with that as our daughter's last visit had been Christmas 2016. Gave us time to catch up.When the food arrived the wings were done just right. Crispy on the outside but tender on the inside coated in plenty of sauce. Medium was just right with just that perfect hint of heat. My stepdaughter said her chicken fingers were done just right also. Can't decide which of the large plates of fries I liked better-seasoned or plain. The fries are fresh cut which adds to their yummy taste. Several cold beers topped off a lovely first dinner for my daughter's visit home. Cost of our meal which was more than enough food for the 5 of us was $71.30 without tip.

My favorite food is "Beef on Weck" This is a specialty in the Buffalo area. Nevertheless after 59 years of trying and tasting them all I have made a decision. Ernie Webers Beef and Ale House is simply the best roast beef I have ever had. A choice of different sizes along with different sides make it even better. But the most important thing is that the sandwich is HUGE and the beef the most tender I have ever had. Please if ever in the Buffalo,NY area stop there. There are alot of beef places but this is the only one thats over the top.Gary Postolese Buffalo NY 14223

Visited this gem this weekend for the 1st time. Our waitress was right on when she suggested the Sheffield dry rub wings. Lots of flavor and pretty good sized. All four meals we ordered were great. Portabella sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, sausage hoagie and build your own burger....hand cut fries are a must! Just a fun spot with yummy food and well stocked bar. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Pubs have always been places to gather and chat. South Buffalo is our home and we want to convey its warmth and character in this neighborhood pub. From The Early Times Tavern to The Blackthorn, we have grown with our friends. We invite new friends to joi
We went with another couple Saturday night. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers for an appetizer and they were very good. Three of us ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and had the tatertots with it. Those tots are delicious! The fourth person ordered the shepherds pie and I didn't hear any complaints from him. It looked good. We stopped at the bar and had a couple of beers. The people hanging out at the bar were friendly.

Upscale casual gastro pub. Chef and family ran and owned, including a house made menu with daily specials. Large selections of beers, craft beers, local wines and craft cocktails.
Wifields's Pub is a gem that will soon catch on. If you blink, you may even pass it on your way down Ridge Rd. It's a quaint remodeled old tavern from the 50's I'm guessing, but clean and inviting. The bar has it'scomplimentary bowl of home made potato chips for you to enjoy with a cold one and chat or watch some tv. The staff is very friendly, and professional. It's menue is somewhat limited but has some very good items that will warm your heart. A british style fish-n-chips, home made chicken pot pie are two that Ive had.My favorite is the fried chicken breast sandwich. A rare fare that is tasy and filling! I'm sure certain itemswill be swapped in and out on the apps menue as they move forward, due to popularity and demand. The "grilled cheese" or pork belly's are a good choice, but would like to see a more energetic apps choice. It feels like home and I think the best is yet to come.Parking in the back lot is challenging due to close quarters, and the street is a main route, but you will find a spot. Enjoy a nice craft beer from a limited craft offering, and indulge in their awesome desserts too!Give it shot, let me know how you see it.
