One of our first stops upon our return this summer and even better than ever. Nice,ecletic selection of wines and craft beers, very nice charcuterie plate for a light meal, good entertainment several nights a week. Outdoor dining at its best - in the Colorado mountains!

The food at the Inn had never been very good in the past, but we decided to try it again as their were few options available in the town. We were pleasantly surprised at how good our meals were. The hamburger was excellent, cooked perfectly and very juicy. The 3 Cheese Bacon Ditalini was like having a very rich macaroni and cheese with fried chicken on the top. It was not what I had expected but found it to be delicious. It was so filling that I took half of it home. The weather was not such that we could be on the patio which was a shame as it is one of the nicest patios we have encountered. So glad to see that things are looking up for the Inn. We would eat there again.

This is a must visit if you ever pass through this quaint little town of La Veta. Superior food, wonderful new owners from Kansas City (the best!), great chef (also from KC), an eclectic but very intriguing atmosphere, and best of all -- a great, comfortable place to sit back, relax, have a cocktail or beer,and contemplate life with friends. The back patio is delightful in the summer months, and patrons are relaxed and begin discussions with one another. On occasions when they offer live music, it is good.Some improvements are ongoing: need for a broader wine list, some working TVs in the bar for game days, and perhaps a slightly larger menu. But other than those items, which I know the owners want to achieve, this place is positively the best, and will be my go-to place in the region. It is also a nice little inn, with fully remodeled rooms. I stayed here under prior ownership, and it was okay, but the hotel is fully and lovingly transformed by the owners, Ally and Ryan. It is now superlative, especially given the other options in town.Thank you!
