While walking by we noticed the Oldest Bar in Juneau sign so we thought we would try it. It's a strange process where you order and pay for the food on one side of the bar, and if you want a beer, you go to the other side and pay separately. The only cool architectural component was the tin ceiling, but the walls were a combination of tin and paneling. They should give it a more 1890's look instead of late 1960's. More of a dive bar feel than a historic feel. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich was 2/5 as the grill may have been dirty and found grizzle on the chicken and was greasy and overcooked. The tater tot sides were awesome - 5/5. Overall - meh, nothing stood out except for the tots.

Freshly made burgers, sandwiches, fried chicken, fish and chips, our famous super tots and pub food located in The Imperial Juneau's oldest saloon. 11am to bar close daily, full service bar, wifi
I arrived on Juneau and the hotel late. Naturally, I was hungry. The hotel had already shut down their kitchen but recommended this place because it was close and likely open. It was the last night of the Alaskan Folk Fest and the place was full of musicians playing and having a good time.I ordered a burger and fries, which was done quickly and was delicious. The bartenders were attentive and the crowd was very friendly.

We were on a Juneau Food Tour and stopped here to have their signature hog wings. [a hog wing is cut from the fibula of the pig, in size comparable to turkey legs]. It was lean and flavorful. A great taste experience.

We had lunch at the Hideaway in mid-September. First of all, this is a big bar with many very large TVs, good views of the water thru many big windows, and an order-yourself kitchen window over in the corner. The entrances are shabby and may be intimidating to the first-time visitor, but it is warm and friendly inside, but not fancy. The chef behind the kitchen window is another thing all-together. His hamburgers are absolutely world-class (and we've eaten them all over the world). The California burger would make fans of Tommy's in LA jealous. We "found" this place when we were stuck in a long traffic jam and decided we were tired of waiting. Trip Advisor guided us about 400 yards to the Devil's Hideaway. After two Alaska Ambers and the KILLER hamburgers, we were in vastly improved spirits.

McGivney's Valley has consistently good food quality, more so than their downtown location. Check their white board specials upon entering to see what's on that day that's not on their regular menu. Happy Hour 1500-1700 for 10 percent discount on appetizers, karaoke on Thursdays at 21:00, kitchen closes 22:00, credit cards accepted.I don't recall a time when I didn't like our food, except for their crab bisque which I thought was too spicy for my taste buds.

A tour bus driver tipped us off that this was a great alternative to Red Dog Saloon. It's for locals and not tourists which is a big plus. Bartender is helpful in picking out local beers to try. There's a stage and a band started playing at 4 pm. Wonderful place!

I've been coming here for years for the one reason, they have the best beer battered halibut in Juneau hands down. But on our most recent visit, they let their quality slip by using the reason that they had a larger order just ahead of ours. It's the quality of serving the Halibut, not overcooked, being moist and succulent that keeps bringing me back. If your quality slacks off, then there's no reason for me to keep returning. The halibut was overdone by about two minutes and I personally gave them feedback that it was overdone. Nothing is worst than to have the protein overcooked, dry, tough. This warrents an updated rating to poor from very good. For eight ounces of big boy halibut for twenty-four dollars plus tax and tip. I think no tip will be forth coming, and no repeat business if they let their quality slip on another future visit.Karoake takes place on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays starting at 22:00 hours, we sat at the opposite end of the bar with the pool table to minimize the noise.

Didn't order food so I can't tell you much about that. I can tell you that the place is enjoyable - lots of great energy going around. There was live, old country music when I was there. The waitresses where cute little uniforms and were friendly. The menu is funny to read, and I got a glacier margarita which not only pretty cool to look at, but also tasted pretty good. It's quite a spectacle, but worth stopping in.

I have eaten a lot of pizza, and their gourmet varieties are full of intense flavor. Their crust is not too filling and their beer selection is very good. We were in Juneau for one week, and found a way to hit this establishment three times.

My wife and were recommended to the Devil's Club Pub by our tour guide as a place to meet locals, and get away from the crowed town of tourist. What a nice place to stop and have a good cold beer, and excellent pub food without the crowds. The staff were very helpful, and friendly with the beer and food selections. The pub is clean and has plenty of tables. We had a great time, and will visit the Devil's Club Pub again on our next visit to Juneau, Alaska.
