We have visited Gators in the past and had a great time. On a recent Friday night we had plans for 12 people to have a birthday celebration at another local pub. That restaurant had frozen water pipes and had to close. At 4:00 I called Gators to see if they could accommodate our rather large group at 6:30 that night. The young lady was very friendly and helpful. Although the place is quite small she said she would be glad to make a reservation for us and allow our group to come in and bring our planned cake for the birthday. It worked out absolutely perfectly! From the time we arrived at the restaurant, the staff went out of their way to make our unexpected change of plans seamless. We were allowed to have separate checks, at least 2 servers took our orders so it went very quickly. When it came time to deliver the food I actually counted 7 people bringing out the food for all of us! Amazing customer service...and so appreciated! Our food was great. We had the Spinach Feta Pizza which was fantastic as always. Heavy flavor of Feta...yet not a heavy pizza. Garlic Parm wings were great. The antipasto was very good-lots of cheese and meat.We are so grateful to Gators for hosting our group. Freddy...we owe you our thanks, appreciate your staff working so hard, and will be back!!!

Opened March 2018. New owner,Tony Piombo says that " the mission was to bring back the historic Paddy's Pub feel making it again one of Cortland's favorite places to meet up with old friends and make new friends!" He's nailed it! The food is DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor. I loved our first experience here so much that I arranged to have a group social gathering here. Tony, his wife and staff were SO welcoming and enthusiastic (true hometown hospitality) and I'm planning to get back there this week for their AMAZING chicken wings with homemade sauces.
I went out with a few friends to Dark Horse a couple times. I never ate the food, and only went out late night for drinks. The bar has bras for decoration and inappropriate pictures in their bathroom-that doesn't even have real doors for the stalls. It's an environment that really encourages flirtatious behavior and things that isn't really safe when people are drunk. There's classier and safer bars in Cortland to drink at.

We try to get to the Glen Haven once a summer. The food isn't spectacular but it's decent and not expensive. Portions are slightly on the small side but that's to be expected with entrees, which include salad, under $20. We usually have the deviled steak, which is delicious. On our most recent visit, my husband had salmon, my son and I had scallops, and the others in our party had the chicken special and the mahi special. All nicely prepared.

We checked in to our hotel in Cortland, New York - just off I-81 - tired and not at all interested in getting back into the car to find a place for some dinner. The Front Desk recommended several restaurants places that offered good food, delivered to the hotel ...we chose Brix Pubaria as it had a more versatile take out/delivery menu. We called to order - were told 40 minutes - food came sooner - and we want to let Trip Advisor readers know that the wings and fries were excellent...extra crispy hot, wet wings with blue cheese...and excellent fries too. It was exactly what we needed after a long day in the car. The young man who delivered our food was polite and said delivery to our hotel was free from his restaurant - so do make sure you tip generously for this extra service you receive.
Was looking for a place to catch some dinner on our way to Cortland this past weekend. I asked my husband if this was the place we went to a couple of years ago and he said yes, and you didn't like it. I said well, it's getting 4 and 5 stars and says it's under new management so let's give it another try. We were very pleased. Although they could use more regular height tables as it bothers my back and legs to sit at the higher stools, the waitresses were quick and polite and the food was great. We shared a serving of the black beans and rice and I could have eaten that as my meal. Had just the right amount of spice. I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu Panini and my husband got the Nacho Burger. I brought about a third of my sandwich home as I ate half the rice and beans. Will definitely go back.

when the manager (she was passing out paychecks) comes in to pass around her four-week-old baby, you know you're someplace else... a truly quirky, woodsy type of "Cheers" where everybody knows their name, terrific caeser salad considering the atmosphere, great jambalaya and portabello mushroom sandwich, bill just $26... takes cash only and does not open until 3 p.m.

I had been hearing people rave about Hairy Tonyâs. When a friend was coming to Cortland, my spouse suggested we check out Hairy Tonyâs. I checked Trip Advisors for information about the menu and the reviews. When my friend arrived and gave me the information I needed, she said she had to head right back home so I invited my spouse and we walked to the bar. We were shown to a nice table close to the front window. After we ordered drinks, we asked the wait staff (Dominique) about the Nachos Muy Grande whether or not it was enough food for two. She said it would come in a paella pan. When it came, it was huge and, as we were eating, we realized it was not only delicious but much too much for us to eat at one sitting. Dominique had come by several times to see how we were doing. We asked for a take-away box and brought about half of the meal home. The items on the menu looked wonderful and we will be back.

returned for Mother's day with my wife and were definitely not disappointed. The food was excellent, bartender, hostess (owner)/ waitress were very pleasant. we ordered grilled octopus for a starter (a new experience for me) a little chewy but a remarkable, lobster-like flavor...Tina had delicious Coquille St.Jacques while I completely enjoyed a wonderful Chiopino with lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari. this may be our new mom's day tradition
