Bit of a strange one this, the food, drinks and staff where absolutely perfect, just couldn't ask for more BUT then there was the 'Family from Hell' why do people bring kids into restaurants when they have no control over them, what so ever and totally disregard other diners, what a nightmare but I do understand that the staff and management where trying there best under VERY trying circumstances

We managed to make a very last minute booking, knowing we might arrive late. The receptionist was totally fine about our late arrival, helped us with our bags to our room and made sure we didn't miss last orders! The room was immaculate, beautiful comfy bed, up to the minute decor and great shower. As we're regular visitors now, it's great to be known by the staff, who are helpful and informed about the plans for the hotel. Breakfast was brilliant as always.Highly recommend this hotel, enjoy your visit! Great atmosphere, food and staff but a specials board should be in the place where you are seated with a menu. To have it in the bar where it cannot be seen is very inconvenient! This means you have to keep getting up to read it, maybe have it printed on paper and given to you with the menu?

This family run pub/restaurant prides itself on the high quality, homecooked food that is served 7 days a week. Not only do we provide traditional English dishes, our extensive menu contains a number of different cuisines, to make sure there is something

Returned here after a break due to the place going from 5 star to zero following a takeover, however, now under a different manager and whilst not yet back to the standard of a few years back everything is cooked fresh and to a good standard, Sunday lunch was very good, we will return to try other food here & update again but is worth a visit.
