I regularly visit this fine establishment for a few drinks before heading out sightseeing. David is an excellent bartender and is always good for a bit of banter and provided me with essential information. Excellent menu providing all the classics and many more. With such a varied range of drinks I must admit that I did very little sightseeing though I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

In fact this was a birthday party for one of the young men working there. What is the obvious unique thing is that you have a view over the main pedestrian street in Halmstad, and that it is possible to sit outside, but with rain protection and heating (if needed) in all places.

Väldigt mycket folk och tydligen personalbrist i köket. Personalen gav flera gånger om ursäkt för servicen, som det egentligen inte var något fel på, förutom väntetiden och att ingen frågade hur det smakade eller om mer dricka. I övligt mycket gott bemötande.Stort minus för musiken som dessutom var hög. Jag är allätare (jag menar det, Jussi Björling, Iron maiden ifected muschroom och Edit Piaf) men har man ett ställe som heter vinyl kan man i alla fall försöka!Verkar som dom har en förkortad sommarmeny, förståligt förvisso men den var aningen ointressant. Tyvärr inget som lyfte. Jag åt kycklingvingar med pommes. Inte illa genomfört, men väldigt platt. Ailolin smakade inte vitlök. Saknar en kryddig sås till! Tillbehören Budgetoliver (eldorado/ica basic stil) och menlösa chronos sänkte snarare än höjde helheten tyvärr. Bästa lökringarna jag ätit och kycklingen var bra örtigt kryddad utan att vara överflottig eller översaltad som den ofta tenderar att vara på krogar. När sommarmenyn åker ut är jag beredd att ge Vinyl en by chans. Men tills dess finns det åtminstone fem ställen till i stan som nästan är exakt den samma.

Its a very nicelooking place. Really has the feel of a english pub. But thats it. We where 7 persons had reserved a table. So long so good. Then it came to ordering. And the waitress/ waitresses did not get it wright and when we said that we didnt order what we got, they snorted at us that we could eat and drink what we got. That is not alwright. The meat was not cooked ss we wanted and it came a heavy sigh from the waitress. We live in Halmstad and no way we'll eat there again. However the staff behind the bar is ok. They know what they talk about.

Leifs Grill at Hotel Tylösand is THE place to be when the sun sets if you want to hang with the pretty people. During the summer there are some really good concerts held on the scene in front of the terrass. Food is good, the Iberico for example was very tender and tasteful. The classic order is the Leif Burger. Way better than the average burger. Comes with loads of side orders. On the minus side - I which they had told us as we sat down what dishes that was not available. As it was now, we had our eyes set for precisely those.

What was once a part of the hotel is now a separate restaurant. We were a group of more than 20 people and should celebrate an anniversary. We got the larger room a little indoors, for ourselves, and it was a perfect size. Really high class in the laying of the table, the service, and the food. If trying to find something that was not good, it was limited space for hanging your coats, and it is not a place if you have a strict budget.

Really bad service last night. I was standing at the bar and both bar staff kept servicing people that just walked up to the bar and left me standing.......waiting. I got the feeling that if you are not a local, then you are treated like second class, if that's not the case then I simply have to put it down to bad service and unskilled and inattentive staff. Such a shame.
