There are times when you just want to relax and sit in the open air to watch the water. Whether in shorts, swimwear, or a sundress, casual cuisine and great drinks make this the perfect summer outdoor dining experience. We had HUGE PEEL-n-eatem shrimp (about 3 inches long) for an appetizer then followed with fish tacos and a blackened chicken sandwich. You order at the bar or kitchen window and self-seat from among a variety of patio and picnic tables. A live band was playing an eclectic mix of Waylon, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Thomas Rhett while boating patrons docked and forged the stairwell for beer and seafood. If you love casual, summer, outside dive bar dining, this place is perfect.

The food was good but the wait was rather long since oneemployee was doing everything!!!The poor guy looked tired and since the restaurant is rightby the outdoor pool and it was around 1 p.m. he was outside takingorders from people pool-side, inside taking orders, making ice creamcones for several people, making drinks at the bar and delivering the foodfrom the kitchen when the cook put it in the window!!!! I am getting exhaustedjust thinking about it!The food was fine, the resort was fine but they need to hire more staff!!!An irate customer came in shortly before we left complaining to the poor guybecause he didn't answer the phone.Yes, the phone had rung several times butif he had answered it and taken orders food would get cold and nobody would havegotten served. Give him a wire-less headset or hire some staff!!!

We decided to give this place a second chance since we were just leaving the show, so we thought a pizza sounded good. My hubbie ordered a Chivas on the rocks to start with, and I had a glass of wine. The thin crust pizza was ok, but there are much better places around the lake. But since this is about all they have on this side of the lake, you don't have too many options for pizza. The Chivas was a tiny little glass the size of a baby juice glass with about two sips in it. The price for such a drink was $5...then they charged an extra $2 prep charge for the ice!!! Really...I could have given him my free ice in my ice water and saved a few bucks. We asked the waitress and she just danced around the question as to why they charge for ice in your drink...Look...if you want to charge $7 for a thimble of booze, just say so...that was the last time we will come here...to me that is dishonest folks...be up front..it goes a long way...Mangia has great pizza and they deliver...

Stopped in on the suggestion of a friend for the fried chicken on Tuesdays. 20 min. To cook, worth the wait, started with the Salad bar. The chicken was amazing. Coating was well seasoned. Not overly Crisp. Chicken itself was moist. Mashed potatoes with the white gravy as delicious. We've been here for the burgers in the bar area, they wer good. Daily specials is a nice change of pace to,add to regular menu. Don't pass up the fried chicken here.
I describe the best things as STUPID good! This restaurant gets a 3 Stupid rating! Iâve had several things from here, but the best Iâve had are: ribs, which literally fall off the bone, with crazy good seasoning and smoking; pulled pork grilled cheese, yet another triumph of the stupid goodness; cheesy corn and curly fries to die for. Do not miss this gem! Or you might be stupid...but not in a good way!
Have been to this lakefront bar and grill several times. It is accessible by boat and most people are there in their swim suits and coverups. Food is mostly sandwich and the usual sides. Food is good. Seating is all outside and on an outrageously hot day can be a little warm. Our last visit there the fans just weren't doing the job. This is the type of place you go to if you are out boating for the day and want somewhere to go for lunch. We would go back.

Stopped here a couple of times as was staying near at a friends cabin. Servers where polite and friendly. Food on several occasions was really nice and full of flavour especially the smoked meats. Breaded chicken was lovely and fresh with huge pieces. The fries that come with the meals are lovely. Several TVs with American sports on show, nice big bar area with a shuffleboard which was great fun. Nice bit of outside seating with a tv if you want a quite chilled outside. Will come back again.

It's been a LONG time since I ate at Chances R. As I recall I wasn't overly impressed. My wife and I decided to give it another try and I was pleased. Probably the best burger I've had at a diner in years.
