Called in for a light lunch. The service was excellent, drinks brought to the table, rare for a pub. Served a range of light bites. The real ales were very well kept. Quite rightly this pub is in the 2020 good beer guide.

Housed in an 18th century pub in the heart of Southsea, The King Street Tavern combines our passion with authentic Smoked/BBQ Meats with great beer. With our focus on the rubs and the infusion of wood smoke our meats are cooked âlow and slowâ to perfectio

Have been many times for food here and always have a good meal but never been for Sunday lunch. Would recommend if you like big portions as you get plenty of meat and potatoes 3 huge slices of beef and 5 roast potatoes plus 3 veg in a separate dish. There's 5 different choices of meat and you can have all 5 if you want. Meat was delicious fell apart unfortunately the portion was so big I couldn't fit a pudding in !!

The Marmion now serving up Southsea's finest food, drink and of course great atmosphere!
Good menu, lots of tasty sounding things to try. Nachos were excellent, so much topping and nice big chunks of chicken breast. All had burgers which again were good, really liked the skinny crispy chips! Eten mess for dessert was a good potion size and super yummy. We used meerkat 2 for 1 so was incredible value for money. Service was really good, both people serving were helpful and really friendly.
