The Minnewaska House

This restaurant serves very good basic food. We attended a large banquet here and while the staff pulled off the event very well, the food was nothing more than basic good. Roast beef (or ham), carrots (overcooked) and potatoes. Salad was very small and also very basic. The atmosphere is great as it overlooks the lake, but having eaten here several times over the many years I've visited Glenwood, there is just nothing extremely positive about it. We have also eaten off the menu and my comments are the same...good, basic food.

I have eaten here for years great view and food. Dock for boaters to pull up. There's a homemade salad bar, nice drinks, pull tabs and dessert.

Captains Bar and Grill

Initially service was slow to be seated but I think they were understaffed. We were seated on the patio outside with a spectacular view of the lake. Our drinks came quickly. I ordered the broiled walleye and it was fantastic (didn't need the toast and corn, hated to waste it) The home made chips were great.
