Close to home so figured we would stop by. Sorry if busy at the time by service was good. Tried chronomancer ok taste. Loved the Buddha. Tried the tacos, really good. Had the fries too but small order for the price $5.50. Our bartender/server James was awesome!! He handled the business like a pro!! Will definitely be back!! The staff all around was really attentive & interactive. We say at the bar. Family friendly!!! Glad we came!

In 1921, Rose McNally opened "McNally's Quick Lunch" in a small corrugated steel building at the trolley turn atop the highest hill in Philadelphia. In 1927 Rose and Hugh purchased one of the new buildings just across the street and moved the Quick Lunch.
We ordered the special which was the Cuban sandwich and black bean soup. The sandwich was decent with a side of potato chips but the black bean was totally bland and watery. We added salt and pepper but it didnât change much. That was very disappointing. The sandwich was decent but Iâve had much better. The coconut cake was just okay but wouldnât order it again. The staff is very friendly thatâs why I hated to give ab average review but I had to be honest. I will not return again as the food was very forgettable. Too many better places to eat. The inside of the restaurant is very small and tables are really close together. It was hard to move around as you were in the other tables faces; and it was very noisy. Not a place to meet a friend that you want to have a conversation with. W if youâre going to sit and use your phone to text. I couldnât understand why the great reviews.

Sir Winston's Pub, located in the heart of Keswick Village, is a speak-easy style pub and restaurant new to the neighborhood! We are the new home of GG Brewers Brewing Company which had been making fine hand-crafted beers since 2006 right across the stree
We had dinner at GG Brewers tonight and were surprised how tiny it was, but figured it must be good as it was loud and jammed with people. We were not disappointed. All beers are brewed in-house and local wines are served. Staff is exceptionally warm and friendly and made excellent drink pairing recommendations Fare is quite good but not extensive, just honest quality pub food. Decor is minimal at best and seating is very tight. (During our meal it became "standing room only")I tried a taste of the recommended "Amberly Eyes" brew and it was well-made, light and clean, not hoppy with a very faint fruit finish (fresh pears). My wife enjoyed a glass and thought it paired very well with her spinach ravioli in a fresh herb tomato sauce. The fried calamari appetizer ($8) was the best I had in years, sweet, very tender and freshly made, large rings coated with Italian-spiced bread crumbs and served over good field greens with marinara and raspberry vinaigrette on the side. I also had one house specialty, the hot shaved roast beef sandwich with what must have had over a half-pound of excellent lean tender meat dunked in au jus topped with a choice of cheese and chips. Very flavorful but a bit messy!Prices are moderate, sandwiches are generous and start around $8, the 1-lb strip steak special tonight complete with sides was about $16. Please note tonight there was show at the Keswick Theater across the street and the waitress let us know the menu was a bit limited due to the expected crush of patrons rushing to eat and get to the show. There are no french fries until after 8PM, as well as a few items difficult to prepare quickly. For the adventuresome, a nice adult spot for a simple meal and a glass or two. We will definitely visit again when its a bit less crowded and we can linger longer.

we enjoyed walking from friends' house for Sunday evening specials. the amber ale was good, the wings were meaty and flavorful, and the clam chowder was full of clams and just-right creamy (not too thick). yes, it's small and crowded and noisy, but even sitting at the high table near the bar we were able to have conversation without shouting. all the TVs on same game. nice staff

Met up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and I suggested this spot since it's one of my neighborhood places to have a good time. I usually get the same thing all the time from here, but decided to try something different. Wanted to get the buffalo chicken wrap, but I don't do spicy foods like that. So I asked our waitress how spicy is it. She gave an honest opinion in that sometimes it's really hot, and then sometimes it's not so hot. So I was bummed because I really wanted to try it, but didn't want to experience the "really hot" . LOLOur waitress suggested getting grill chicken, and she would let the chef know not to add anything hot to it. Cool that worked for me, plus I still got to order my brussel sprouts....the meal comes and I take a few bites after adding ranch dressing, and my mouth is on fire. The waitress comes over to see how we are enjoying the meal, and I'm like this has my mouth on fire. She indicated that she had explained to not put anything hot in it, and offered to take it back, and have another one made. When she came back with a new one, she explained that even though she had stated nothing hot, a little something got into it. The second one was great. the manager also came over to the table to make sure that the second order was to my liking, and it was.

Union Jack's is an English pub with an impressive beer menu and great food. My compelling, debonair friend met me there for dinner and we tried their wings and burgers - they were awesome! This neighborhood gem is a great place to check out when you are in the area. Stop by!

Every time my husband and I go here it is always great. The food is great. Definitely look at the specials. The chef always has something interesting. The last time we were there both my husband and I got the special. My husband got the scallops and said they were the best scallops he has ever had. I got the salmon which was equally as delicious. The place is small and sometimes gets packed, so make sure you are either willing to wait or walk around Glenside if needed. They have an outdoor area in the summer months that is cute with water and lights. It is definitely our go to place if we are not sure what we want for dinner or where to go. We have never been disappointed.

Overcooked burgers, tasteless tacos and bland corned beef sandwiches. Cute waitresses only go so far when the kitchen is this bad. Maybe you need to pretty loaded to enjoy the food here but the last 4 times here, we were underwhelmed. And it's not cheap either. Go to Grub in Willow Grove for a much better burger.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review BobZielinski. We are sorry that we missed the mark on your last visit. We will share your thoughts with our staff to ensure that next time you experience the 5 star food and service we are known for. We appreciate your business and hope you give us another try soon.

Stopped in Sunday afternoon because friends said to try it. Friendly, bar atmosphere. Food selections were unimaginative. Prices were outrageous - chicken salad wrap $13 with no accompaniment. Side of fries $5 - flat tasting. Pub was crowded and noisy with folks seeming to enjoy themselves. I thought $40 for two people for sandwiches and one order fries and one iced tea was pretty high for ordinary food.

Apparently it's a secret only known to regulars and locals because there's nothing on their site about reservations. I had checked both their site and open table (of which they are not members). We stopped for dinner prior to a show at the Keswick but we were told that reservations were necessary on show nights, and there were no tables available (and at that point 99% of the tables were empty). The hostesses were rude. We will take our business elsewhere in future.
