What are your first three food and drink related visits when you head to your hometown? What do you order? Fried Clams from Kelly's? Supreme Sauce from Raynor's? A slice from Joe's? A take out order of a green-chili cheeseburger from The Owl Cafe? Maybe i
I nearly missed having the best Reuben ever because itâs a Friday only special and I hadnât seen it on the menu. My neighbor at the most congenial bar pointed it out and we laughed as his Reuben was placed in front of him while he pointed it out on the menu to me. House cured and smoked with just the right amount of kraut, cheese and dressing...this Reuben is beyond special. My husband enjoyed his green chili stew and green chili burger (with bacon and egg)..but the Reuben was the star. Jeremy behind the bar was great, keeping beverages filled, offering suggestions from the menu as well as ideas about interesting things to do in Denver. The menu is varied with gluten free and other dietary need offerings. The bar offers great cocktails and a variety of craft beers. There is also lots of outdoor seating available. We liked it so much weâre going back before leaving town.Hi HebbieDacker,Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience with our Steuben's crew and our Reuben. We strive to give our guests the best possible experience and are thrilled that you had a wonderful visit from start to finish...and joined us for round two before leaving town! Thank you again, and we look forward to hanging out with you during your next trip to the Mile High City.Best,-Steuben's Uptown

Currently in Denver on personal business. I used to live in Denver 30+ years ago and used to go to the Bonnie Brae Tavern to get a pizza. We decided to go when I found out they were still in business. Was able to park in there lot which is pretty good sized. When I walked through the door it was like I was transported back to the early 1980's. It looked as though nothing had changed except the two brothers who used to run it back then. Now other family members do. Since I used to order pizza there in the past I decided not to break with tradition. We ordered a large 14 inch #1 which has sausage, ground beef, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. They also offer other pizza specialties or combinations and you can even create your own.Now be aware that this pizza is not deep dish or thin crust it's just a "normal" pizza. When it arrived we dug right in because we did not have any lunch and we were hungry. When pulling the first slice off the tray the cheese looked like it came right out of a TV commercial. Many "strings" of cheese kept getting longer and longer as we pulled a piece from the tray to the plate. The toppings were generous. I did find it interesting that they used red onion instead of white onion on the pizza. This did give it a slightly different taste. Good but different. As I have done in the past, since there are no fractions on the rating system, is that I would give this pizza a 3.5 out of 5. Above average, but below very good. This was a good pizza, but not the best pizza I have ever had.The Bonnie Brae Tavern also offers soups, sandwiches, burgers, Italian dishes and even some Mexican offerings. They also have various appetizers and salads. The Bonnie Brae Tavernas been around since 1934. There motto is " a good place to know, a good place to go!" I would agree. The pizza is good, but it's more about going to a place that has not changed in decades. If you are in the area you should go.

Been coming here every summer for a number of years and we have naves been disappointed. Great drink selection you would expect from an Irish Pub as well as outstanding staff. Sitting outside on beautiful summer evening is worth stopping for just a drink. BUT there are a number of good Irish Pubs in Denver â what brings us back is the outstanding food. Happy hours ate great and the music on Wednesdays is especially fun. If you get Lauren to wait on you l, youâll know the another reason why the Snug is the best !

While waiting for the last of our party to arrive, we indulged in the appetizers, Wednesday being 1/2 price appetizers and bottles of wine. They were so good we about ordered the same thing again when our friend arrived. Salads were good and our home-made pasta superb. Our waiter was very attentive and we appreciated that he brought his credit card processing machine right to the table just like they do in Europe. Weâll definitely return.

Good food, good prices, gluten free options. Would definitely eat there again. They only take cash, but they have an ATM if you don't have any

Dinner there on Friday night.... place was quite busy yet we were attended to promptly. Friendly service with great food. Chicken chowder soup had chunky pieces of chicken and fee pizza was yummy. Love the crust too. We were seated at the patio which was alright except that the heat from the heater was somehow making the face uncomfortable with the heat.

Love this quaint little burger joint - the servers are super friendly and the food is delicious - many choices for your burgers - and the Bloody Mary...perfect pairing to a burger.

Decent selection of food, lots of beers to choose from. Both food and beer were pretty good. Jalapeno seasoning on fries was pretty good and I tried the Bull's Pride sandwich (prime rib with green chilies, etc.), which was good. The portions are pretty big too. Service was fine, but it was very dark in the restaurant.
