We were expecting a cheap burger bar with cheap fish and other options. Pleasantly surprised, lovely smoked salmon starter, and haddock and chips were delicious. Best haddock Iâve had for a long time. It might be different in peak season but we found it extremely good. Well done guys

Even at holiday periods the bar wasn't busy, it was clean and the food looks reasonable. It does have live bands on twice a month, perhaps we just hit a quiet night!

Our unique location just outside Fort William at the very foot of Ben Nevis is THE place for great food, real ale, live music and bunkhouse accommodation. Popular with walkers, mountaineers and locals alike, the Ben Nevis Inn is found at the start of the
This place is a God send if you have just descended Ben Nevis.Terrific food served to hungry patrons on shared tables. We arrived after dark, from a tricky descent and managed to secure a table. Booking ahead is recommended. The chicken and haggis rumbledethumps are delicious. Lovely staff and good food.

The Tailrace Inn is located centrally in the village of Kinlochleven, the last stop of the West Highland Way before Fort William and only 7 miles from Glencoe. The Tailrace Inn offers a welcome respite for walkers, visitors and locals in our traditional b
Sitting outside the pub is at the back in what looks like a car park. The decor is modern. The staff who served us must have been having a bad day or he just wasn't interested in conversation. The food menu looked ok but given our experience of eating in a neighbouring pub, we chose not to. It made us laugh to see a member of kitchen staff returning from the local co-op with some frozen food.

Family-run, loch-side Scottish Inn. Stunning views across the water to the mountains beyond and the entrance to the Great Glen. We offer traditional Scottish Pub food made using quality ingredients. No nouveau cuisine here, just good old-fashioned, tasty
We booked a family room, which is two adjoining rooms one with a double bed, and three bunk beds in the other room with bathroom. It has plenty of room for us, a family of 5. The food at their restaurant was worth overeating for. I had fish and chips and had my eyes on their pasta and lasagna the second night but they get really busy. So, we checked with them and the wait was 20 minutes, so decided against the splurge. The location of the inn cannot be better. It is the first stop from the ferry and watching ferrys come and leave between 6:30am and 9pm was quite unique. It was the natural wakeup call in the morning. We also drove on the other side of the loch that doesnt require ferry to Glenfinnian and isle of Skye and it was worth it. I would stay here again without second thoughts. Leave rush behind when you come to the Inn at Ardgour. They also have a recreation room in the back with books and games.

We walked over from a nearby B&B a couple of times and were welcomed without a reservation. The dining room is attractively decorated and has a log fireplace. The staff is young, friendly, and competent. Both times we ate here the food was of good quality, well-prepared and (what I like best) piping hot!

Disappointed with our visit to the highland gateway, the staff were very laid back, to the extent that they were too busy chatting to serve the customers. Starting to serve and then chatting then eventually going back to the customer, turning customers away for food as they were fully booked and food can only be served upstairs in the restaurant, fair enough l, then giving the next customer a menu and telling them they can sit outside! Generally being snappy to the customers. I wonât be back

We were looking for somewhere to go on a dreich day whilst camping. Had a lovely freshly prepared lunch with the most amazing view. Pool table was great for entertaining the kids and the dog was happy with her treats from the friendly gentleman behind the bar. Thoroughly recommend the Cullen Skink!

Glencoe: It's always the main course. We have three new places to eat in Glencoe - our restaurant, serving fine food with 270 degree views down Glen Coe valley. Locally sourced produce - think estate sourced venison, great wines and malts and the best of
My partner and I went camping next to Kinghouse hotel for a few nights after reading about the location, facilities and hotel bar/restaurant. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised hby the hotel itself. Great to have use of the facilities and felt very welcome. We excitedly planned to dine in the restaurant, booking as soon as we arrived. Beautiful setting and nice dining room however felt the meal was not up to par with regards to taste and portion size based on the prices they are charging. Staff were friendly but lacking just that bit more and towards the end of the meal they almost disappeared leaving many diners to walk up to pay. We opted not to have a desert as we felt a bit let down by the food and also could not be bothered waiting for someone to serve us. The rest of the experience however was great and the Way Inn bar was brilliant with friendly accommodating staff, would definitely opt to eat in the bar next time as we will be back!!

After being turned away from a busy restaurant in Glencoe village we were delighted to find a table at The Laroch. The food and service were excellent but unfortunately we were charged for a bottle of red wine instead of a glass. We didn't notice this till the next day and this was obviously our own fault but I emailed the restaurant about this a couple of days later giving them the full details of our meal and names of our servers but have not received the courtesy of a reply which is disappointing.Hi there. Delighted you enjoyed your meal with us, but really sorry you were overcharged for your wine. We are actually away on holiday at the moment, and so our emails arenât being monitored as they normally would be. We will be back home in a couple of days and will make sure you are refunded for the mistake. Kind regardsEileen
