Food, Fun, sea and sun are the essence of this spectacular venue which has views over the Kalk Bay harbour, Simonstown and all the way across False Bay. Enjoy a meal and drinks with friends in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere literally right on the ocea
An all round pleasant dining experience. Stopped there for a lunch with some friends and the setting is amazing with the waves breaking right where we were sitting. We ordered the grilled Calamari and it was the best we have had in Cape Town. The service was very good and our waitress was excellent and very friendly. Has a great atmosphere and will always stop past there when in Cape Town.

Polana in Kalk Bay has a large reputation. But it has closed down. This is probably a very good thing. I cannot in good conscience give any rear view review on this establishment. The square meterage of Polana is currently undergoing renovation. It will be engulfed by Harbour Hoise staff there told us.

We arrived on a blustery Friday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was empty and we wondered if this was an omen. Fortunately, it was not! The staff were friendly and helpful, welcoming and polite. We ordered plates to share (girls like to do this) and I can only sing high praise for the chef: chicken livers to start - juicy and not overcooked with enough spice to waken the palate; fish platter - yellow tail, mussels, calamari and prawns - chips too. Delicious. Parking easy as it was still early but, by the time we left, rather congested in the area.
