Reviews on Pub food in Esbjerg, Jutland, Denmark. Modern Esbjerg is the country's largest port and the base of Denmark's oil industry. Central sights are easily explored on foot, and buses shuttle to the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, where Denmark's fishing history is celebrated. Visitors should explore the main streets: Skolegade is crammed with bars, and pedestrian-only Kongensgade bustles with 150 shops and restaurants. Home to the original Legoland, this city of 85,000 also offers fun daytrips to picturesque Fano, 12 minutes away by ferry.

Great fast service and lovely food a highly recomended lunch stop and well worth a visit. Menus in Danish and German (did not find an English one) but with guesswork and some help got to order what I wanted. Coffee here is lovely too. It's an old post office and still looks as though it has the original counter. Great building.

Visited with friends, as I had heard they had good âstjerneskudâ.There were not many customers, so we got a nice table outside and the waiter brought the menus and disappeared... when we were ready to order, I went to get him. We then wait a little for our drinks and a long time for our food (weâll weâre with friends we have not seen in years, so no problem as we were talking a lot), the âstjerneskudâ is ok, but with only fried fish (The type you buy breaded frozen) and not, like traditionally 1 fried and 1 steamed.Taste was ok.We finished our meal and was waiting for the waiter to ask, if we wanted more or wanted to pay.... nothing. Again I had to go and let them know we wanted to pay.All in all: itâs a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal, but donât expect the fastest/best service.

A great little steak house situated just off the main square in Ribe - opposite the church. I've eaten here several times and it has never failed me in its food or service. There are plenty of options (both steak and chicken) and a very lovely and plentiful salad bar.Good prices too for the area. Will definitely be back and highly recomended.
