The very first McGettigan's Irish Pub was opened in Dublin in 1964 by Donegal man Jim McGettigan. In 2010, McGettigan's started its journey around the world. After opening pubs in the UAE, Singapore, and New York, McGettigan's arrived in Bray. Visit us at
Just had a Fantastic Steak Sandwich In this lovely restaurant. It was exceptionally tasty and cooked to perfection with triple cooked chips. Compliments to the chef. I will return for more. Our waitress was Susie - she was lovely and looked after us so well.

40 of us landed here for lunch and the carvery service was brilliant! Everyone was accommodated, even though another large group were also there. NIALL worked on the carvery alongside another lovely gentleman and each customer was treated the same - with a wonderful manner and even some who 'didn't want this and wanted less of that' was treated with respect and excellent customer service. Thank you. Our meal was superb, plentiful, hot, reasonable and staff were really helpful finding seats. We'd return here - the menu was excellent and snacks were also accommodated. ENJOY!

The Wild Goose Bray brings you atmosphere like no other. Winner of Best Newcomer in the Irish Restaurant Awards. We have amazing food, drinks, live music and sport.
Had previously eaten in the grey goose about 2 months ago. My partner suggested we go out for a bit off dinner and I said we will go back to the grey goose. On arrival it was quieter than previous visit and was surprised with it being fathers day. So sat at a table and observed 3-4 Staff standing at the bar and one waitress floating back and forward looking busy doing nothing. After a few minutes of being ignored I got up and grabbed a couple of menus by the cashier point where waitress was standing and went back to our table and after a further 10 mins or so and still not even an attemp from any staff to see if we wanted to order or want a drink we decided it best to leave as the service (Or lack off) was atrocious. Very disappointed after previous visit. Perhaps Management need to invest in more staff training before bad staff ruin this business altogether .Hi there - thanks very much for this feedback - we were busy on Father's Day so may we ask was it the Wild Goose in Bray Co Wicklow that you visited or The Grey Goose in Drogheda, Louth? If ourselves, please message back so we can chat. Thanks in advance.

A well established bar and restaurant in Kilmacanogue Wicklow with views of the Sugar Loaf front and back. Live music, parties catered for and a great selection of beers and spirits.
Stopped for dinner after spending the day hiking in the Wicklow Mountains. Plucks is a cozy, traditional Irish restaurant serving many of the comfort foods you seek. The corned beef with parsley sauce was fantastic! And the fish and chips were light, crispy and good sized - not greasy. Conveniently located at the intersection of two major thoroughfares, and with plenty of parking. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

This is a really good spot for lunch Food is good , sometimes great ( but even the not great dishes are above average)Staff are really nice , very friendly , efficient and knowledgeable .The view is spectacular ( if you get a window table) The bad stuff : Too many screaming kids for my liking The place could do with a good deep clean .All in all though would definitely return.Hey Carl and thank you for your 4 star review! We appreciate the feedback too on both counts and look forward to welcoming you back. Please always request a quieter table and we will always try to accommodate.

Johnnie Fox's Pub is situated in the heart of the Dublin Mountains and it is a pub that simply "has it all"! A living museum of Irish tradition, live entertainment nightly, food served daily from their a la carte menu which starts at 12:30 through until 9
One of the best PUB to visit, BUT:we've been visiting this PUB for many years now and we noticed a massive decrease in the quality of service. Waiters are not as friendly as they used to be and it is unfortunately giving a wrong image on how Irish people are. We did not feel "at home" and welcome as we used to in the past. We felt like "tourists" urged to eat and drink as quick as possible so that the table is to be released for the next shift.Food & Music is very nice as always, but in those conditions it worths less. I really hope the management is aware of this and correct this before our next visit to Ireland!

Traditional Irish Bar in the heart of Enniskerry village loved by locals & visitors alike. Our pub is the perfect place to experience true village life with a great atmosphere and personal service. Enjoy one of the finest pints of Guinness in Co Wicklow w
We stopped at the Powerscourt Arms for supper the other night. The restaurant is part of a small hotel on the main square in Enniskerry. We had the fish chowder and goat cheese and beet salad as the first course. The chowder was very good. The beet salad however, was a disappointment. It was a large lump of goat cheese rolled in crushed hazelnuts beside and mesclun salad with a few small chunks of beet. Average at best... For the second course we order the lamb shank and the pan seared salmon. The lamb shank was not as tender as we usually find and the salmon was very good. The lamb gravy over the mashed potatoes was excellent. I imagine it was made from a fond as it had a deep rich flavor. The prices were very reasonable and our server was busy, but nice.

This Irish pub is more than a name or an address: it embodies a spirit of friendly congeniality, a culture of conversation and story. McGill's manifests this magnificently, full of interesting artefacts and memorabilia, with a wonderful bar, made for elbo
I travel many times to many countries although this is my first review on TripAdvisor. Firstly, the good part of the evening â the food and beverage. We enjoyed some great "Pub" food -.a cottage pie that reminded me of âwhat mamma used to makeâ, a succulent burger and some chicken wings. All were very tasty and presented in a not over the top, clean manner. If no one had been looking, we would have licked the plates clean! The Guinness was the best I had tasted in all of the times I have been in Ireland which is numerous. Secondly, the reason for not giving top marks was purely down to the way that the staff treated us. We do not expect to be pestered as it is a pub however some attention would have been nice. The staff seemed to be too busy talking amongst themselves than to talk to most guests although one guest must have been a favourite as he was given lots of attention. I will be back even if it is just me so I can indulge in another cottage pie and a few pints of the black stuff. Maybe the staff will take note of my comments and the service will improve.

Old on the outside but very new on the inside. Cozy, pub-style decor but the emphasis is on restaurant, not pub. We had prawns and salmon. Both were prepared to perfection. Service was great. Iâve not patronized other restaurants or town, but this place seems to warrant its #1 rating.
