We are an irish pub & restaurant. We have a big choice of whiskey, gin and rum. We have a lot of live events, irish folk, classic rock or rock'n'roll.
Nothing bad, equally nothing particularly good. When there are so many far better local German/Austrian Stubes around why bother coming here

No idea where the owners had been drinking in Scotland and Ireland, but if, as they claim, their own version of a typical pub is based on experience, they must have visited some pretty dire establishments. OK, it was off season, but the place smells faintly of disinfectant, has the worst choice in folk music one can imagine (think Sex Pistols meets The Dubliners, all sung in German), and apart from a friendly if slightly wacky barman, the other staff were surly at best, and just plain rude at worst. It is family run, and the woman behind the bar runs the hotel next door. Dollar signs in her eyes, and her heart is just not in it. She couldn't really give a flying fig. Menu confined to iffy looking burgers and fries. I repaired to the excellent bar in the Hotel am Hopfensee.

The food spread was traditional Bavarian with a variety of smoked meets, sausages and pastries. There were also the meats, cheeses, cakes, champaign, bier, soups, and a list too long to remember. That morning was a buffet so I cannot completely rate the service and kitchen staff. But the host and busing of our tables was prompt and courteous. And that says much considering we were part of a 20+ person american contingent with some members that were "high maintenance" (read rude). The food is so good I wanted to stay and eat more but my belly was going to burst. This is a great place for meal whether your a couple or a large group looking for a private room. By the way, there is a little trail out back that wonders up the slope to the Explorer Hotel. It is scenic and secluded with little treasures. I cant judge the value as someone else picked up our meal.
