Went for a fundraiser, reluctantly as we have had so so experiences in the past. Server was chipper and efficient. Food was better than we have had at other locations of same change. We requested the wings well cooked and they accommodated our request.
We went on a weeknight and the bar was very quiet, with just a few locals. We had a couple beers, service was friendly and clearly this was a regular place for the neighborhood. It's important to know that there are two "Golden Fleece Taverns", this bar, and the historic home of the tavern on the green, which is now a great gallery for some local artist and Delaware-related gifts. The bar had about half a dozen beers on tap and some good value drink specials.

OK, it's just a bar and grill on the highway. But there must be 20 TV's for sports viewing. There's also a bandstand and dance area, and tonight there was one of Delaware's finest blues bands, NBT.But the real attraction is the stuffed burgers. Two patties have various filings between, the edges crimped and grilled. Outstanding!Mine, The Italian Stallion, had provolone, salami and capicola (gobagool in NJ) as stuffing. There's a pizza burger, bacon burbers, blue cheese burgers. Maybe a no-stuffing one.....About 20 varieties. You get the point, something for everyone.Beers limited to mostly mass market lagers. But Yuengling suits just fine.

Our multi-generational family group stopped for an early dinner at Frazierâs on the Water. This restaurant has an upscale look to it when driving by into the city, but is less than expected when entering from the parking lot. In fact, the entrance is poorly marked; we werenât sure we were in the correct parking lot. FotW is a large sports bar in the lower level of a freestanding building. The menu contains the expected burgers, apps (including wings) sandwiches, soups, salads, cheesesteaks and wraps. Itâs an extensive menu, but itâs bar food. Frazierâs is easy to find and thereâs a large surface parking lot down a ramp off the street. The service is good, but fries were delivered lukewarm and the inside of my Reuben was cold. There is an extensive beer list including local craft beers and the national brands. I may return, but there are certainly better choices.

New coffee shop in Dover, DE.
Was at Governors cafe with friends. I ordered the taco special and it was very good. I had a beer but was never asked if I wanted second. A friend had chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. His dinner came with frozen mashed potatoes and by the time it was replaced he was done with dinner. I would have taken the old mashed potatoes away. There were other minor problems.

Iconic Maryland bar and restaurant serving famous crab dip, fresh & never frozen 100% beef burgers, fan-favorite wings, a $7.99 lunch menu, and a wide selection of local, craft, and specialty beers. Always a good game on TV, and every seat has a good view
Weâve been to a few of this regional chainâs restaurants, but like this location best because the staff is so much more attentive and friendlier here. The food is quite good, nice portions, and not too pricey. My husband loves the âturtle tendersâ (very flavorful and crispy chicken fingers), I especially like their fish tacos and crab soup. Never been disappointed at this location! Also, check out their lunch specials (back cover of menu), great value.

I have been here before and have sat at the bar but this time I sat in dining room with friends for lunch. I ordered soup and salad. Our meals were brought out and the waitress asked if we needed anything else and I said I ordered soup and didn't get it. She apologized and said she would bring it and take it off the bill. The soup and salad we're delicious. We all had separate checks and when my bill came it had another person's drink on my bill. It was fixed and then my soup was on the bill. This service was out of norm and I will be back

Just outside downtown Dover, near Legislative Hall is this delightful pub with a lake view and a richly designed pub decor. It was half price burger day so we indulged... great burgers. And they came done medium or rare as ordered.. fries were excellent, or you could swap out for a caesar salad or other sides.Beer selections are enormous; special drinks and wine list rocks..Lots else on the menu besides burgers, like soups, salads and dinner entrees.Bottom line: great armosphere, busy place with a pulse and really good food.
