It has taken be said that the decor is nothing flash, but donât let that fool you. The choice of drinks (10 kegs with 8 on rotation and 6 cask lines) is fantastic with beer from normally local breweries , but sometimes a bit further afield. Friendly knowledgeable staff and fairly priced means repeat visits are required!!!!

Decided on pub lunch. As they did not have the wagyu beef burger I went for the ultimate burger...it boasts a beef burger, topped with a melted cheese slice, breaded chicken fillet, BBQ pulled pork, BBQ burnt ends, mushrooms and beer battered onion ring. Well what the forgot to add was taste less oversized buns. The disportioned burger filling to bun may be due to the tiny burger tough chicken missing mushrooms and forgetable cheese. They even managed to serve bland helping of fries....The staff were friendly and attentive but the food was a complete let down...

Awful breakfast, black pudding and grilled tomatoes both raw, one fried egg yolk broken cooked and mixed in with the whites and and other one hard with crunchy sides. Bacon so hard could cut a tree down with it. Given about 12 baked beans. Had one member of staff moan that she was there till 6 and losing most of her day and a member of staff I told food about shrugged his shoulders and said I'll tell the chef to which we never heard anything back. No offer of replacements or money back. Quite disgusting breakfast and service. On a brighter side... toast was good.

meal atmosphere serviceMy daughter and I visited for my birthday. It was a quiet Friday afternoon with just us and a couple of other table of guests. The food was generally great, not fantastic. The waiter was friendly but seemed absent minded as he forgot the aioli sauce for my squid and that my daughter wanted bruschetta instead of burgers. Our mains were lovely - I had sole with buttered prawns, baby potatoes and green beans which was one of the specials. My daughter had baby back ribs with potatoes. Both huge portions followed by a dessert of apple crumble. The decor is unique and warm and there's also a nice patio area you could sit at if you prefered.Overall, a nice experience.

The Builder's Arms is a traditional local pub, serving up a warm, friendly welcome as well as great food and beer. The relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful beer garden makes it the perfect spot for a quiet pint, while on Sunday it's the best pub in Croydon
Going to the Palace v West Ham game found this pub by accident and what a pleasant surprise it was. A great pub with a well kept selection of Fullers beers. We didn't eat but the food looked good. The landlord even gave us a taster of the guest beer, Highly recommended, Will be going back here next season.Hi There,Thank you for leaving a review with us,We are so pleased to hear your experience with us was great! your feedback will be passed on to management. Looking forward to seeing you next time.Kindest Regards,The Builders Arms, Croydon.

While the service was friendly, the food was very uninspiring and sub-par - I ordered a classic ploughmanâs lunch (what could be more âpub grubâ?), and it was unappetising, visually and in taste. Nowadays, there are so many good places to eat, and people are far more demanding than in the past. This place will not survive unless it improves its act.

Crown & Pepper Croydon brings you the fusion of two Culinary Classic Cuisines of Indian & Chinese in the surroundings of a traditional British pub. We opened our door on September 27th 2009 and since then become the heart of the Croydon and aim to be the
My family and I are very fond of this venue and have supported since it opened but our visit on Friday was very disappointing. The bar staff seemed more interested in chatting and serving their friends/regulars first. The toilets were filthy. Paper all over the floor and broken seats.Change of menu, the sides are now not much off the price of a mains. Has it changed hands recently or have they got so big as a business they donât care about this place anymore and prefer to focus on the keg and grill (shut whatâs going on with that?),the restaurant further down the road and their place in Caterham ??? This restaurant needs your attention.

The George is a traditional English Pub in the heart of Croydon. It serves a great selection of quality food and drinks and prides itself on its excellent standards and service.
As a 'spoons in the centre of a large town it is bound to be busy but it can take a while to get served at any time really, they always seem to be understaffed. Your better off going to the Milan Bar a little farther on or better still The Skylark.

Great atmosphere., lovely staff and delicious food what more can you want. The menu is so inviting it is hard to decide what to have. Cater for vegetarians and vegans. Also dog friendly although probably too loud for them when there is live music Looking forward to sunny evenings to enjoy the lovely garden
