My wife and I were expecting the five-star dining experience at Mohawk. We arrived at 6:00P and stayed until 7:00P. The restaurant was vacant when we came in and we remained the only customers. There wasn't even any bar business. We had passed by two other restaurants that night and they had ample customers. The waitress gave rather indifferent service and food quality was average. My fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken was good, but not al dente. My wife's burger was "just another burger". If this were #3 rated restaurant in Crivitz we wouldn't want to eat in #4 thru #31! Fortunately we live here so we know there are MANY excellent restaurants in the area. We shan't number Mohawk among them, despite prior glowing reviews. Maybe it's just extremely variable. As our memories dim, we may return
We found this place on an ATV ride. What a hidden gem. Just walked in the door & already felt like home. The waitress came over to take our drink order, sat down & shot the bull for a few minutes. The food was great & a large selection of tasty sandwiches. Two in the group had the chili & said it was great. Would definetly stop here again.
It's my stop when traveling home from our hunting camp in the Upper Peninsula to our home outside of Green Bay. Small town bar which has all the nuances that make small town bars what they are. Great people, food, drinks, and prices. A pint of Lienkugels, shot of Jack, 10 oz. cheese burger with tater-tots and a side of ranch for under $15.00! Stop in and enjoy!

Hilltop is typical of an "Up North" Wisconsin Supper Club. Friday night fish, Prime Rib on Saturdays, etc. Ordering is a little confusing when going there for the first time. You get menus from the bartender and when you're ready to order you notify them and they send the hostess over to take your order. They seat you in the dining area when your food is nearly ready. We were there on Saturday night, labor day weekend. Was very busy. Bar was crowded and noisy. The old fashions were very good. Took about an hour to get seated in the dining room. Dining room was nice, quiet, and has a great view. While I'm not a big prime rib fan I did order it and it was as good as any prime rib I've ever had. Salad bar had a very good selection. Look forward to going back here when in the area.

Although you can not really see the river, Riverside is on the Peshtigo river. It has delicious cheese curds ( A staple in Wisconsin), and decent BLT's. However, when I was last there for homecoming with a group of friends, my Ruben was soggy, the bottom bread slice was very watery, and the sauerkraut was cold. I know this restaurant can do better, but that one experience has altered my perception.
New building, very roomy yet cozy. Nicely decorated, lots to see and do! We checked it out for breakfast. reasonable prices, good selection, large servings! We diid not see the full menu, but Friday specials were on the back of the breakfast menu and looked interesting. Looks like homemade soups and desserts as well!I've seen the menu on line, it looks interesting!
We had their pizza & it was great but their fish & salad bar are NOT. Menu says "Happy Hour" & when we asked about it the waitress asked the owner/manager & she said "not now, maybe another day". WHAT???? Not now!?

What a great place! We have been driving past this for a few years and finally was able to stop for dinner. It was fantastic! Best old fashioneds and dinner was excellent! Will definitely have to try their prime rib soon. Extremely reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Worth the stop for sure!

It has been a very long time since I have been at the Gateway. Probably because we live so far away and when we head north we take a different route. We happened to stop on a Saturday evening on our way home (around 9 p.m.). The place was very clean and music was not too loud where you couldn't converse. We could tell the server was unsure who was taking our table as some were heading home. I ordered the walleye sandwich with the vidalia onion dip. My husband had the foot long hotdog. Both sandwiches were good...but I never got my dip and my husband had no ketchup on the table for his hotdog. We flagged a different server to get these two items. We did; however, get sets of silverware two different times despite there already being sets on the table. The server was having a bad night. She was in tears behind the counter. It obviously was an off night for service.

Always a great selection - the prime rib was so delicious and a perfect medium rare. There was ham, smoked pork tenderloin, their amazing broasted chicken and butterfly shrimp- along with veggie, potatoes, stuffing, salad bar and desserts Itâs always a nice way to spend Easter Sunday Thank you very much! We are glad you enjoyed your time with us! Happy Easter!
