This lovely little pub has a gorgeous little garden . The staff are really friendly and there was waitress service in the garden which was really efficient . The food was excellent with great Sunday Roasts and a good selection of vegetarian and even a vegan menu . Portions are quite large and well cooked . An adequate choice of wines

The staff were very friendly, one guy in particular (didn't catch his name) was knowledgable about the drinks they serve and was very helpful. There was a guy who it seemed like it was his first day, bless him he was getting barked at from all directions from I guess the landlady. Felt a bit sorry for him.Nice beer garden, food looked appetising.

Country Pub and Restaurant serving freshly prepared food ranging from pub favourites, Sunday Roasts and daily Specials, ales from local breweries with large garden and play area and an open log fire for the chilly days.
On a lovely sunny day we decided to eat outside. Last roastof the season we thought. The food was cold as we got it. They should really heat the plates. Large chunk of stewing beer which was rare and not pleasant to each cold. Very fatty. Tiny portion of veg and Yorkshire pudding dried out. Gravy was a kind of sugary treacle. Overall the roast didn't taste of anything. £15 is probably the going rate but it didn't seem like good value for money.

Relax and enjoy great beers, fine wines and perhaps a lunch time sandwich or a succulent meal.
We stopped here for an impromptu Sunday lunch, and had a great meal. Service was great, staff were really friendly. Food was delicious and came out promptly. We had the calamari and brie to start and both went for the cola ribs and they were so yum! Would definitely recommend. I would say this is more resurant than pub and would think it would be lovely for an evening meal.

We called in here for a meal after visiting Cliveden and from the moment we opened the door the welcome was friendly. The new owners have refurbished the place and are great hosts. We ate a delicious meal - there is a decent choice on the menu and the portion sizes were perfect.

We have eaten in this lovely country pub and restaurant a few times now and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and efficient, the decor is just lovely and the food is delicious. We had a table outside this time and what I love is that those tables were dressed just as nicely as the ones inside. There is a good attention to detail and standards that seems to remain across the years. We will be back! Thanks for your kind review Jane, we love offering people an experience beyond their expectations so we can keep seeing the same smiling faces returning time and time again. Our Summer service in the garden is quite special, but if you are looking to see something exceptional, you should see us at Christmas! The Bel & the Dragon team.

Whilst visiting Cookham decided to call in this cosy pub for dinner. We hadnât made a reservation but the nice guy behind the bar found us a table. The eating area inside isnât massive but is comfortable and the food we ordered was delicious. I had the fish and chips and my husband opted for the homemade pie. We visited on a Wednesday evening and it was busy. There appeared to be a lot of locals just having a drink which is a good sign these days. Anyway, enjoyed our first visit and found the staff to be friendly. Will visit again in the future.
