Always questionable when stopping off during a long drive hoping to find a good quality restaurant to stop and get a quick bite before getting back on the road. This restaurant and service were great and didnât mind a boisterous toddler to boot!!Would definitely return in future road trips!

I wish I could give this restaurant 3.5 stars, but I will round up to 4!This is a very casual Irish American style pub and restaurant. It has a "comfort" style menu, much of it on the heavy side. The food is pretty good - reliable and enjoyable but nothing amazing. It's a total calorie splurge and a guilty pleasure for me but their tuna melt is delicious. I only allow myself to get it about once a year! It's huge and big enough for two meals for sure. Service can be great or it can be spotty, depending on the night. The booths in the dining room are comfortable and there are tv screens throughout so you can sneak looks at sporting events as you desire. The bar side of the restaurant draws a young crowd. Lots of college kids and twenty-somethings who want to party. My husband and I are in our "ripe old early 40's" and feel old there! We sit in the dining room area, away from the loud drinking crowd. (If you don't want to see this crowd, definitely stay away during Thanksgiving weekend, New Year's, SuperBowl, etc!!! Very young drinking crowd descends upon D & D's for some fun! On the other hand, if you are looking for a fun and comforting place to go drink some brews and hang with friends, you might like this! One thing I don't like is when the smokers hang out right outside the front of the restaurant...stepping out in between beers, I guess. I know this is common to see near drink-heavy establishments. Not my thing, but just a minor annoyance - walking through a plume of smoke to get through the door sometimes. Overall, a good neighborhood joint.

My wife and I visited Sleepy Hollow for a long weekend to celebrate the Halloween festivities this year and stayed at the Doubletree in Tarrytown. The Bridge View Tavern was a place we read about on TripAdvsior prior to going and wanted to check it out for lunch on a Friday as it was a close drive. We had an awesome experience and our server Patty was a large reason why. She greeted us immediately and talked to us like old friends. We told her we were in Sleepy Hollow to see the sites, etc. and not only did she give us a map with info she also recommended several things to do in the area. We had excellent (and spicy) Bloody Maryâs and burgers for lunch and everything was fantastic â the Chorizo Burger was unique and I loved it. We then walked around town all day, went on a cemetery tour, etc. for the next 8 hours and decided to come back for drinks and snacks. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of speaking to Patty once more and learned she is actually the GM of the place. She was a joy to talk to and she and her staff are excellent. The bartenders we had were on top of everything and the Yankees were playing so it was packed. We ended up staying until close because we were having such a great time. They also have a little beer garden out back, but we didnât have a chance to see it as we wanted to watch the game. Make sure to try the pulled pork nachos. I would highly recommend this place for top shelf food, craft beers and an awesome staff!

Authentic Irish American Food. Serving Steaks, Seafood, Chicken, Burgers and Salads. Great mix of fine tasting meals. Gluten Free items available. Private party room. Outdoor seating with all weather TV. Live music.
River Court on Main is top-notch in every way. The ambiance is great and the service and food are superior. The Traditional Irish Breakfast is not to be missed! Catherine keeps the place humming with charm, wit and an attentive presence. The portions are ample, the prices are reasonable and the Mimosas are magnificent. Unless you fly to Dublin, you will not do better. Save the air fare and just go to River Court on Main. You will not be disappointed. Slainte!Mr Road??? if thats your real name. It only took 8 months to reply. Thanks for the kind review Catherine
If you're looking for all the charm of neighborhood bar where "everybody knows your name" This is the place. Small place with an EXCELLENT bar staff that can get you a cold one or mix up whatever cocktail you desire. Food is your typical bar variety but taste and flavor is superior to most. The regular crowd is a fun quirky bunch that are welcoming to new visitors. If your looking for a fun inexpensive night and experience a slice of Americana this is the place to go

Kennelly's has a great selection of food & everything tastes great. Try the portobello mushroom fries! The atmosphere is extremely friendly and relaxed- the waitresses are sooo friendly and accommodating. Great place to have a drink before/after/with dinner.

One hour drive away from NYC. Perfect spot for after a hike. The service is quick and good. The burger and fries are amazing. I believe the owner of this place is also the owner of District 96 Brewery, which is connected to the burger loft.

Rickâs has been around for decades and is a favorite of locals. The bar atmosphere, good ribs, wings and solid onion soup, combined with good drinks make it a staple. It has salads, roasted squash and veggie burgers for the vegetarians in your group. The side dishes run the gamut from tasty (French fries and baked beans) to mediocre at best (under cooked sweet potato fries and too pungent coleslaw). Despite the loud bar area, itâs suitable for families with kids as the side room (with plastic jungle animals on the walls) is a family friendly alternative. Rickâs is not fine dining, but itâs fun, solid comfort/bar food in an atmosphere that lends itself to a night out with friends or family.

Located on a nondescript street adjacent to the train tracks near the old Congers train station, this restaurant is a true find for those interested in very good food, a friendly atmosphere and moderate prices. The menu is a combination of comfort foods and daily specials with choices available for almost every taste. Salads are always properly chilled while food meant to be served hot always is. Portions are generous and the detail shown to the preparation of each course is evident. We have been there several times over the last five months and have observed that this restaurant now has a very loyal following. The scallops and seasonal hash are outstanding and is always on the menu. The roast halibut, which was on the special menu recently, was moist, flaky, delicious and well presented. The desserts are excellent and the one with cannoli cream is particularly noteworthy. Be sure to make a reservation on Open Table.
