Isnât it a shame that the review from Aresenal 1997 didnât tell the whole truth about their experience. Firstly they turned up without a booking, all the guests that were there had prebooked. The manager went out of his way to make room and explained that there would be a 45 minute wait for their food, so they had been warned and still stayed. They ate their starters without any complaint to the staff, but because they had waited too long for their mains, they left without paying. So to say they wonât be returning is a relief all round. The staff work extremely hard to ensure every visitor has a good experience, so difficult customers are not required on this menu. I have lived in Goffs Oak for over 24 years and I can honestly say since Norman and his team have taken over it has become extremely popular with the local reidents, who would not have bothered with a trip here before. The food is excellent, for the price you pay. The staff come to the tables and take your orders and are always cheerful and have a smile on their face. Yes on Valentines evening service was a little slower, but the food came out hot and there were no mistakes at our table of seven. The singer was amazing, we all had a fantastic evening in our local. I truly recommend a visit.

Came here with my friend for lunch. We both had the ploughmanâs platter which was excellent value for money- very generous portions - all for £12.00. The food was fresh and delicious and there was an extensive menu. The staff were friendly , efficient and helpful. The pub is set in a beautiful location and the pub itself is gorgeous. We took the dog and was able to sit comfortably in the front garden with the other dog owners. Not sure if the pub wants to attract dog walkers but my only slight complaint- it would have been nice to have some bowls of water for the dogs but this was not really a problem. I do hope to go back to try one of the other dishes - everything I saw coming out looked delicious.Hi thanks for your lovely review. Really glad you enjoyed it! Sorry you didnât see any dog bowls, we do normally have a couple scattered around but they may have been taken to the back garden! Donât be afraid to ask, we will always go and look for one for you!! Hope to see you again!

best thing about the place is the staff who arent p[articularluy knowledgeable but are very pleasantfood is average- little choice especially for a non meat eater but that is down to McMullans. Fishcakes were mainly potato and food rather plonked on plateyoua re expected to collect your own cutlery etc and meals ordered at same time dont always come togeitherpleasant to sit outside even with main road trafficHI Jacqui,I'm sorry we didn't have more Vegetarian options available and unfortunately we are unable to provide table service outside due to the size of our garden. I'm very happy you enjoyed your time here. I shall look into providing more vegetarian options as specials dishes to improve your next visit here. Thanks for taking the time to review us. Pamela
Where to eat European food in Cheshunt: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We were walking the Lee Valley Country Park from Broxbourne to Waltham Abbey, and took a short side-trip into Cheshunt for lunch. Though there are several places serving food near the walk (and near the station) many do not serve food at lunchtime, and we didn't want a greasy spoon. So we went for the Maltsters. Although I wouldn't rave as some of the reviews have, the food was very acceptable and seemed freshly prepared. The disadvantages are that it's gloomy inside, on a noisy road outside, and the barmaid spent a lot of her time outside vaping.

Friendly Bar/Restaurant with full table service. We offer a classic pub style menu with additional Chef Recommendations and a Carvery on a Sunday. We also offed a Curry Night from 5pm on a Tuesday and a Quiz and Grill Night from 5pm on a Thursday. Buffet
Really improved here with friendly and fast service. The pub bit is still a bit too small with a few tables huddled around the tv.The food is great.. but annoyingly, whilst Wetherspoons cut prices , i ve noticed my beer price creeps up 5p overnight A Heineken now costs 4.85..was 4.80 at start of week. Its equivalent Heineken at Wetherspoons in Cheshunt is 2.99Bit of a difference... But I can handle everything until I sit on the terrace and watch rats scampering around the swings and slide. Spend some profit on vermin control as well as a cleaning regime for outdoor furniture. In the meantime i ll stay away.Hello, Thank you for your comments on our fast and friendly service. We spend time and money on pest control with regular visits every 2-3 weeks, so there are controls in place in the garden, we focus on being a clean and friendly pub and do not tolerate vermin in the building and we do try and control it in the outside areas. We have been made aware of the increase in activity in the garden and pest control have put extra measures in to try and combat the issue. The swings and the slides are quite a way away from the building, and we have to be careful about putting chemicals down around this area due to health and safety of the children playing there. We appreciate your comments and take them all on board. Kind Regards, Team Vine.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inn on the Park is a great place to Come and dine with friends and family.
We were a party of five and when we arrived, we were shown to table 13/1 which is a round table located in the corner of the front dining area and is very comfortable for parties of 5/6 adults. Our server, Carmela was very prompt in taking our drinks and food orders and also in serving them up shortly after. Most of us ordered the sirloin steaks for our mains which were very tasty and cooked to order. We all had a great evening as we normally do in this place as we find this restaurant very relaxing and comfortable and will certainly return again in the near future.Another fab review from you Alan :) such great news to hear that we was able to provide outstanding service again :) see you again soon :)

Last time I ate at the Prince of Wales the food was good but the service was questionable. This time...what a difference. The facelift has made the place look so much better. There was a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was very good. This is the nearest restaurant to my home so I want it to be good and this visit showed the difference since my last visit. Don't misunderstand me, this is not "fine dining" just very good pub food!!Well done.....confidence restored.David, firstly thank you for your review, and secondly I am very pleased your confidence in us has been restored. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

We arrived on a very busy night and was greeted by a friendly, efficient young lady who seated us straight away. As it was our first visit we first noticed the unique decor which created a lovely non intrusive atmosphere. Our waitress was clearly busy but she was still very attentive and our meals and drinks arrived quickly. We really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely visit again when weâre in the area. Thank you Marvellousmarie2016 for your 5 star review and such kind words. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your visit with us and hope to see you again soon.Kind regardsChrissy
