Have been several times. I love the raw and fried oysters. Never have ordered anything else. Usually have a beer on tap that I like and goes well with oysters. My granddaughters like the nachos. It is noisy and loud especially in the late evening. Interesting photos on the walls.

Basic bar food which was good. We enjoyed sitting outside. Can't imagine how loud it gets inside with a band playing.Wings were meaty and flavorful. The sandwiches were plentiful and the drinks were cold. Our server was busy, but she was attentive. If you want good wings, give this place a try.

So me and the wife have tried about 2/3 of the breweries and pub/grill places around the Hampton Roads area. This one was a little further out of the way for us to get to, but we finally got around to getting to it... and what a darn good choice it was. We got the fried chicken salad and the club sandwich for food. For drinks we chose Blue Mountain Hot Tub IPA and Beltway Grapefruit IPA. All weâre outstanding choices. The salad had copious amounts of chicken on it and the club was large and tasty The beers were filling, and had a great comparison to the roasted walnuts that were in the salad. Oooo, and the French fries were huge and so darn good! The ambiance was good, half bar style and half dinner setting. We went at a low crowd timeframe, so we werenât bothered by noisy people The service was adequate, and we left a good tip for it. All in all Iâd say weâre glad we went and weâll probably end up going again

We are huge fans of Surf Rider Western Branch. My husband and I have dinner there 4 or 5 times a month, and we are never disappointed. The seafood is always fresh, they always have great specials, their vegetables are seasoned to perfection, and their service is excellent. I recommend Surf Rider to everyone I know. We also go in occasionally for lunch, and the quality is exactly the same. Surf Rider is definitely our "go to" in the Western Branch area. It's not fancy, but it is consistently delicious. We love it!

We have eaten here several times, including lunch and dinner, and always had a great meal. Their Shrimp Tacos are excellent and all the desserts are homemade. Delicious! Nice setting and the staff is very accommodating. It's easy to miss just driving by, so be sure to look for it and check it out.
