Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in Cheltenham, England, United Kingdom. Cheltenham was just your average, sleepy town until the discovery of a spring in 1716, after which it became Britain's most popular spa town. (Like Palm Springs without the casinos.) Local Cheltonians have a reputation for being wealthy and respectable, and a walk along the Promenade will give you a first-class view of their wonderful houses, shops and gardens. After taking in the waters at the Pittville Pump Room (great name for a spa), check out the Art Gallery and Museum to learn about the social history of Cheltenham.

The Royal is a charming pub and restaurant with a really warm welcome. You'll discover The Royal in the very heart of Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, overlooking the beautiful St. Mary's Church. The pub boasts a cosy, yet modern bar area with open fires and c
Well located in Charlton Kings.Nicely furnished and has an outdoor area.Food overpriced and menu lacked variety.Thank you very much for your review. I am so glad that you found the pub to be well located. I suppose it's really down to where one is located in the first place as to whether or not the pub is well located. If you see what I mean. It's a pity you could not be a bit more specific about the food and menu. We try to please all of the people all of the time with our menu but this was obviously not the case during your visit. All our food is freshly made and dishes include Thai beef salad to chorizo scotch eggs and sirloin steak to Cajun spiced sea bream. That's pretty varied in my book. Too much variety is not always a good thing may I add. In future can I suggest that you are more specific in your critique as this would help the pub/restaurant in question immensely. You also mention price and again without specifics I am unable to comment any further. Thanks again and I hopefully you will return in the near future,Kind regards,Mike Huysinga

Just outside Cheltenham, in the village of Prestbury, The Royal Oak is the closest pub to Cheltenham Racecourse. Log fires, dog-friendly snug bar and dining room with high quality pub food and excellent real ale â what more could you want? Private functio
We had a fantastic meal here on a recent trip to the Cotswolds. The Royal Oak was recommended by several of the hotel staff, who voiced that it was their favorite place to eat nearby themselves. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed seeing so many familyâs enjoy Sunday Lunch. What a wonderful tradition this is in England. Really enjoyed our visit and the hospitality.

A traditional country 17th Century inn situated in the Cotswolds only 15 minutes drive from Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester. The Green Dragon Inn continually proves to be a popular retreat for those appreciating good food, fine wines and real ales.
A lovely little pub where we met friends for an evening meal. The car park had plenty of space but the pub was situated on a busy little road.We had a very nice evening meal there; plenty of customers milling around and the atmosphere was good.

The Aviator is a Pub / Restaurant on the edge of Gloucestershire Airport at Staverton. All our food is cooked on site using local suppliers, A specials board always makes for more choice and is changed on a regular basis. Parking is at the front and to th
How does this place has any good reviews is beyond me. We âateâ here as a family except that nobody finished their meals, we ordered different meals but all of them were of appalling quality. To start the ordeal they left the kidsâ meals last. They are only little but were waiting very bravely until the kitchen finally spat out their meals. They were cold and dry, the chips tasted like sawdust. The beef was fatty with barely any lean bit on the stakes. The mushroom tasted like soap, the chips again like sawdust. Cold sawdust. The home made pizza was tasteless, the tomato sauce had no spice in it at all and I swear they topped the pizza with cheddar, not mozzarella. It may be an ok place to have drinks and watch aeroplanes take off but I would never recommend anybody eating here.Hello I am so sorry you feel that you needed to leave this review I have spoken to all our staff that was there yesterday and they have told me that you were asked if you were all happy with your meals and they have told me that you were all happy no complaints We have never had any issues with our ribeye steaks they are prime steaks twenty eight days matured And as for the portobello mushrooms tasting like soap ! Appalling quality Chips like sawdust home made pizza tasteless no spice Thank you for your opinion perhaps we do not meet your standards for food but perhaps for drinks Kind regardsPatsy

A Beautiful Gloucestershire Country Pub with dining, with seating available in a lower dining area (suitable for wheel-chair users) or a conservatory restaurant. We also have a cosy Bar area and a rear patio, there are tables located at the front of the b
So pleased we ventured back here again to see the latest offering. Lovely setting and plenty of seating options for both groups and couples. Service was very good and swift. The food was an absolute treat, so nice to have properly home cooked food. The pulled pork just melted in your mouth and was a healthy portion size, crispy chips and crunchy coleslaw delicious. We also had the chicken Kiev with veg and again this was superb, also liked that it came with a jug of sauce on the side. Good range of drinks, nice to have decent beer available. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu!

With something for everyone you can enjoy well-kept cask ales and local ciders in the bar, dine in the attractive conservatory overlooking the cricket ground and pavilion, or relax in the beer garden. Our menu is made up of sensibly priced, delicious home
Good food and nice atmosphere. Very pleased with the table and the view from the restaurant is great on a summer evening.

Seated within minutes, main course took a little while to arrive but not a problem (they were very busy), pleasant dining room with a lovely 'feel' i.e. relaxed and informal. Customers looked to be mainly local/regulars with a few tourists like us in the mix. Clean plates all around, always a good sign.I chose from the specials a T bone pork steak with chive potato cake, green beans and tomato ragu - really good, my wife had pork tenderloin with similar vegetables and a mustard sauce (we think) again really good. Followed by one sticky toffee pudding with custard and two spoons.

Cotswolds food pub.
After deciding to give this a place a second go,,,After a so so meal a couple of years ago,,,,, Its an OK pub, If passing by But certainly not a "Destination" Pub The menu was one of the most uninspiring i have come across in ages, Apart from a jokey bit about "Brexit" Burgers ! The Slow Braised Beef & Sherry Pie, was naff, It came with a big lump of Puff pastry, With not much meat beneath it,, Nowhere near being good, Loads of average pubs do better Anyway my burger was quite good, With nice Bought in Burger patties ! Reminds me of Burger van days. The beers are ok, All in, a nice pub for drinks if passing, But on one side you have lovely Stowe on the Wold, And the other quite a few nice eateriesHi JohnThank you for leaving a review.Im not really sure how to respond. We used to make our burgers but volumes where that high that our butcher now makes them to our specification in Winchcombe. 100% chuck steak from the 7 Vales, 7oz in weight of pure beef. Homemade Willesey Smoked Baconnaise, award winning Taw Valley Cheddar. We currently sit at No.1 in the Cotswolds on TA for burgers as well as highly place by The Cotswold Gentleman, I am therefore surprised you have compared them with a burger van...Regarding our pie, I have only ever had 1 complaint in 4.5 years regarding any of our pies but I will investigate this as our meat content is usually 6-8oz.We all have different tastes and maybe we just aren't for you, as much as I would love to please everyone.Im sorry you were not pleased with your experience at the Halfway House.Kindest regardsTania

Traditional public house with pretty rear garden. Food served lunchtimes and evenings all freshly prepared on the premises. Nothing frozen nothing fried ( except the chips on steak nights!) . Fresh Stone baked pizzas and BBQ on warm dry evenings.
Popped in here for lunch, a small, clean, nicely decorated pub on a residential street, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of town.On first impression, I thought the menu was quite limited but we ordered a 'cheese sandwich' which was anything but a boring old 'cheese sandwich'. It was huge with loads of salad on the side. I had curried lamb shank. Oh my word!! It was AMAZING. Seriously good food. A huge portion too, which was good because I was very hungry, it came with rice and vegetables topped with pomegranate seeds, 2 small naans and it was absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent, I can't fault a single thing and can't praise the food highly enough. It is at the top of our favourites list now.
