Went there on a Sunday evening, the place was quite full and busy, however we got our order and food in a truly quick time. That was incredible. My gf got a pizza which was extra large, very tasty. My order was a Burger with fries, not amazing but the quality of the meet was great. A little bit overpriced compared to other places of the city. Anyway is a good copy of the "old wild west" style, where you can find a nice big size Pizza. I suggest it if you fancy something different to try.

We were told about Tortuga by our hotel on the first night in Catanzaro. Hungry from travelling, we wanted a no fuss supper and got so much more. A wonderful Calzone pizza was washed down with cool glasses of draught (yes draught) Shepherd Neame ale, absolute bliss!The staff of predominantly young people are fun, courteous, efficient and helpful. The atmosphere is jolly as the place is very well utilised by families, all sitting together at long outdoor tables. A second visit was as good as the first but managed a well chilled bottle of local rosata. The place is great value too!!

I post partita semplici , carbonara, calzone e gli immancabili " tarzanelli " ( tagli di pasta di pizza con olio e origano ) e il classico Lanternino .Il servizio sempre ottimo e cordiale da parte di tutto lo staff Una sicurezza !!

We went to dinner at Meshwar with another couple after hearing from a mutual friend that this was a place we âhad to tryâ. Meshwar offers a delightfully exotic blend of Middle-eastern and southern Italian cuisines. You can order some of their delicious Middle-eastern delicacies or a freshly prepared authentic Italian pizza made just as you like it. They have nice selections of both beer and wines. The service was excellent. The staff is very pleasant, attentive and welcoming. While we were there, someone sitting at a neighboring table spilled something all over the table and the floor, they were looking around nervously, not knowing what to do about their mess, when the waiter appeared with a smile and kindly reassured them it was no problem and quickly remedied their situation. I was impressed not just with their carefully prepared cuisine, but also with their polite service and kindness. We truly enjoyed our delicious dinner and we will definitely return. We hope you enjoy yours!

Premetto che da molti anni, quando vengo a Catanzaro per lavoro ed avendo due clienti a fianco la caffetteria, faccio colazione in questo bar. Il gestore non ha mai brillato in simpatia ma il caffè è buono. Poco fa arrivo a Catanzaro e mi rendo conto che i clienti sono tutti chiusi per festa Patronale. Entro nel bar e come semplice battuta faccio notare al gestore della mia sfortuna a non trovare nessuno. Lui come risposta mi dice: âLei è venuto a controllare se ci sono persone in giro? O è venuto a consumare nel bar visto che sia io che lei siamo in giro?â Gli ho risposto che preferivo andare a controllare fuori e non ho fatto colazione. E mai più mi recherò in questo locale. Se vado in un bar voglio trovare oltre ad un buon caffè gentilezza, garbatezza e simpatia.

This place is situated near the promenade, it's a restaurant where you can eat in the local (there are so many tables available) or you can take it away.The food is excellent and the price is incredible , the staff is professional and nice I recommend it!

My wife and I stayed in Catanzaro Lido for a week this past May, and ate at La Tana Public House one night. At first, the music was louder than we liked and we were about to leave. The waiter offered to turn down and we stayed. We had a nice, enjoyable meal. Not the usual Italian food that we love, but a nice break.

My wife and I ate there several times, both for lunch and for dinner. They have pasta available for lunch, but, alas, not for dinner. The place is busy at dinnertime. The service is friendly and prompt. Good place for something simple, quick and inexpensive.Gentilissimi Sig.ri Iacobusle ricordiamo benissimo le vostre cene a base di Pizza al The Big PIZZA.Siete stati due Clienti eccezionali e noi eravamo ogni volta sempre più allietati dal vostro ritorno.Sono questi piccoli gesti che ci confermano quanto di buono cerchiamo di fare per tutta la nostra pregiata clientela.Le chiedo personalmente scusa se alla sera non si effettua servizio di ristorante e cercheremo appena possibile di colmare questa lacuna.Purtroppo la cucina progettata per essere da supporto alla Pizzeria ed alla Pizza allo stato attuale andrebbe ampliata e ri adattata per produrre anche di sera Primi e Secondi Piatti, come del resto già avviene per il Pranzo. From the outside, it looks like a local pub, but once you're seated, you realise that these folks take their products super seriously. Everything is local and cooked with love and daring. I'm from New York and their hot dog was something out of this world. I want to go back just to try a hamburger with the local spicy meat spread nduja on it - and the beers? - Yippeeeeeeee!!! super nice staff, most of whom are part-owners as well. Really something special. In unassuming wrappings. Authentic.
