Carrickfergus (from Irish: Carraig Fhearghais, meaning "Fergus's rock"), colloquially known as "Carrick", is a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It sits on the north shore of Belfast Lough, 11 miles (18 km) from Belfast. The town had a population of 27,903 at the 2011 Census. It is County Antrim's oldest town and one of the oldest towns in Ireland as a whole. Carrickfergus was the administrative centre for Carrickfergus Borough Council, before this was amalgamated into the Mid and East Antrim District Council in 2015, and forms part of the Belfast Metropolitan Area. It is also a townland of 65 acres, a civil parish and a barony.

Great offer off buy l get l free and kids eat for £1. Even the 2 meals for £8.99 are great value. A warm friendly place, amazing service an food is outstanding, steaks a treat an new menu offers lots a delightful treats !! Followed by homemade sweets ya can't resist !!! A very enjoyable family evening an followed by match in bar afterwards regardless of football results brown cow gets 10 out a 10 !!!

Spent the weekend in the area and went here one evening, service was great.So impressed that we came back the next day, a Saturday morning, to try their famous Ulster fry. Probably the best cooked breakfast I have ever had, no grease, well cooked, tasty and remarkably cheap. The coffee was decent as well. Service was great, many thanks.
