Part of group of twelve who had Sunday lunch. Did preorder but served promptly. Friendly and efficient staff. Large Sunday roast was enjoyed by those who had it. The two substantial pieces of ham, salad and baked potatoes was very enjoyable but the potato was very small. Large dish of crumble and custard good. Overall we thought we had good food at a reasonable price.Good 6 mile walk from this pub.

Booked a table via email. Friendly staff both behind the bar and taking food orders. Good selection of food, lacking on the real ale front a guest beer would be nice.Fantastic portion sizes, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Choice of sides which is a nice touch.Desert board had a good variety, chocolate brownie too cake like for me but the sticky toffee pudding was lovely.Definitely recommend a visit

Completely refurbished and under new ownership as of December 2018, we are a family friendly, village pub, serving wonderful locally sourced, fresh food. The Brewery Tap is nestled in the heart of the village of Furneux Pelham, deep in the Hertfordshire
We went to the Brewery Tap for Father's Day. Four of us and were seated in the bar area. It was so noisy and loud, we could not hear ourselves speak. We were not at all impressed by any of the food considering the price we paid. We would never go back there again. In particular the Chicken Caesar Salad was the worst ever, cheese sauce and cheddar cheese, soggy lettuce and no croutons- disgusting.I did send an email regarding the food to the website but no one bothered to reply.

A tiny but nice, cosy country pub. The Moon and Stars have been here for centuries and they do food occasionally but you must book in advance.Expect to be greeted by the answer phone.Web site says that - "we're undergoing a website update but the bar is open" Good news then!Short and sweet, that's it. Not much more to say.PS - Closed all day Monday and Sunday evening.

Traditional English pub in a tranquil setting. Family friendly with a large beer garden, open fire in winter, quality cask ales and delicious home-cooked food. Recently taken over By Mark ans Sarah.
Five of us, and a dog, booked a table in the bar for a late lunch. Lunch time menu of 0ne or Two courses was varied and reasonably priced. The service was fast and attentiveWill be back again during our stay, thanks to excellent staff and food.

Classic country pub serving freshly cooked, homemade food, produced by our in house chef. We have a great wine list, excellent real ales, and a selection of drinks for the children.
We hired The Black Horse for a surprise 50th birthday party. Sunday lunch for 125 family and friends. Every table was served their Sunday lunch perfectly cooked as if they were the only table there. The food was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful. They really made it the most amazing day. I could not recommend them more highly.

6 of us booked to come here for a Bank Holiday lunch.Service was friendly and helpful, and they even offered to cook some items from the evening menu to extend the choice for the vegetarians amongst us.The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the food was fresh and tasty. Thanks for the review, it's good that we were able to offer choice to meet your needs, one advantage of being a 'hands on' team.I'd love to know what we could have done to win more than 3 stars from you!

One of Royston's most iconic buildings, Banyers House in Melbourn Street, re opened its doors in December 2016. Situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, this Grade II listed Georgian building has been transformed into a destination venue
Great service from Sophie tonight. Very tentative and friendly. Pasta was really good. Not sure about the new Napoli style pizzas.
