HopCat is a craft beer bar in the heart of Royal Oak, featuring 100 craft beers on tap, a full menu and its famous Crack Fries, named among the best in the nation by Food Network Magazine. Featuring three floors, HopCat Royal Oak has a different vibe on e
Whatever you do make sure to have their fries! I can promise youâre left wanting more. The place is well designed and clean. The host and waitresses were very friendly. The only down side is that their drinks were weak. I suppose thatâs anywhere you go though. All in all it was a good experience.

Fun sports bar with a great rooftop patio...covered bar and open air tables with TV screens all over to watch the games. Nice menu with lots of different offerings from sandwiches to pizza to dinner specialties. They even offer gluten free pizza crust and sandwich rolls! Great service from our waitress...super friendly, organized, and helpful. Everyone got something different and enjoyed their meals. My Detroit Coney pizza was yummy...tasted just like a Coney Dog.

A great selection for people out of town. It has a very welcoming vibe and a small town feel. It is a great restaurant to start drinking at before a night out in royal oak or to end a night of drinking either way it should be a stop for any royal oak visit.

2018 Woodward Dream Cruise started off great, but as the the cruise came to an end so did the courtesy of the staff at Duggan's. Customers were more or less herd like cattle from their seats because the staff wanted to clean up.If memory serves me right the bar law in the state of Michigan states that closure is at 2:00am not 10:30pm. Great policy, take one's money and order them around. You people need a course in etiquette when dealing with the public.

Ate here on a Friday night and this place was hopping and full of people and activity.Burger and fries were huge and filling, and the ice cream bowls were the size of baking Mixing bowls. Huge ice cream deserts!Unique name adds to the appeal of a go to kind of place.Get the ice cream and share it!

we usually get hamburgers, which are a one and you can have potatoes frenc fried or broasted either good, but sometimes opt for fish and fries, delish, plus any drink you can think of, but we are domestic beer drinkers, service always friendly and homey. the kind of bar where you can just hang out and not feel you have to eat and run,you can watch tv ,play keno, pool,or just eat.
I rarely order hamburgers, but did today. It was juicy and had aioli and a brioche bun which gave it a good taste. My wife ordered something labeled as smoky-flavored. The server said it wasnât too bad, but my wife picked around her meal because it was too smoky. She blames herself, not BC, as she should have ordered something else. Fries were decent, but the amount of ketchup given in the small metal container was seriously lacking. Cold beer, lots of choices, and a good atmosphere. Turn the music down 20% and weâll be back.

We got very nice table with open front to Berkley main street! The restaurant offers good variety for vegetarians and gluten free. But overall food contained a lot of fat and was little overcooked. Service was in hurry as restaurant was fully occupied during dream cruiser event! Would go again but for drink and snacks only.

I went to Griffin Claw last weekend and was so impressed. This is a restaurant with an on-site brewery. The selection of their beers was very good. There were about 20 listed on the menu, including wheat, IPA, lager, pilsner, stout and ciders. I had 2 flights (8 small glasses) and a burger and fries. Some of the beers were outstanding, and a some just OK. The burger was delicious and cooked to order. Seating is Oktoberfest style - lots of large tables and an outdoor section. It was a very relaxed setting. I will definitely return during our next visit to the Detroit area.

Although burgers are their speciality, they also do a good job with appetizers, drinks and salads. The toppings for burgers are limitless. The fries leave much to be desired, but become passable when eating late and /or while drinking. Servers are fast, efficient and friendly.
