Visited this week and had a great evening with very friendly atmosphere and service. We had Camembert with port, cranberries and thyme to share and followed by the liver and bacon. Both greatly enjoyed.Looking forward to returning to try the venison!

Dropped in for a late night dinner. Overall the place is fine, nothing more. I've had better Beefeaters else where. Why? Slightly run down, toilet door paint worn. Not clean. My table had remnants of the previous occupants meal scattered about and worse the table edge was covered in something sticky and red which I only found out after my shirt was seeked it out! Staff were nice but overall an bit - hmmn.Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate all feedback so it gives us a chance to put things right. We will investigate all your issues raised. Stayed for one night on a Saturday as we were attending a wedding reception a couple of miles away. We experienced a nice, friendly welcome and shown to our very clean, spacious and comfortable double room in a building located next to the main building itself. Had a few drinks in the garden but didn't use the restaurant apart from breakfast. I had the cooked breakfast which was very good an the others had what they said was an excellent continental breakfast. Nice location. All in all a comfortable and enjoyable short stay. Highly recommended.

I visited the Fox on a Tuesday evening (around 5 o clock) with my family. We were welcomed by the bar staff and given the option to eat inside the restaurant or the outside patio area, we chose outside as it was lovely day.Overall experience was amazing, I chose to have the burger with just bacon and cheese which the staff were more than willing to accommodate my request. My mother has a gluten allergy and the staff were able to advise which dishes she was able to eat.I will be definitely be returning soon, perhaps on a Sunday as Iâve heard good things about their roast.

Been in this pub several times and lately Rob and Dave have not been around and it definitely made a difference with them not there so we decided to stop going ..we went in Thursday and spoke to rob who informed us Dave would be around at weekends now as he had been helping at another pub....so happy we will now be returning every sataday night for our weekly drinks and dinnerGood Afternoon Sorry, I was out of the business, helping out another pub, but back and ready to go again. Had a very nice meal on Saturday Jess our waitress was good and efficient went for the day time menu very good value especially now they have added Scampi. Husband had the steak medium done just right. nothing was too much trouble for our waitress.
