My wife and I visited Bank House on Whiddy Island 3 years ago and we're blown away by the whole " experience ". Ferry with Tim, in house service by Kathleen, combined with a unique atmosphere, exceptional food and a touch of alcohol and you are truly part of the adventure. My wife returned with friends for a birthday celebration recently and was equally amazed again at the sheer quality of the hospitality and produce served in abundance. Tim and Kathleen are still providing their guests with unequalled service in every way, this place really is a gem not to be outshone and at an extremely reasonable price.

The Quays pub or restaurant is spacious and beautiful, however I just feel that the food, particularly at lunch time is limited and rudimentary - there isn't anything spectacular about it e.g. one can get regular sandwiches and wraps with fries - like most other pubs. I do believe the Quays needs to add more items and improve their variety, perhaps adding some exclusive specialties. But nevertheless, the stop-in was enjoyable!

Very friendly. Small and local. Prices a bit startling for somewhere like this and the food wasn't really of a quality to justify it
