Had a pre dinner drink in bar and staff very friendly and also returned to bar after dinner. Managed to get seats as it was quite lively - saw barman get a table and chairs for a group who came in later when there was no seating left - nice touch we thought. Country singer there and the music was good - wee area for those who wished to dance . Good choice of cocktails too. Entertainment Fri = Sun. Enjoyed

Was looking forward to a night out with my family and it was ruined. On the menu it clearly says spaghetti carbonara I ordered that as that is what I WANTED. Spaghetti carbonara as any chef that has passed any exam is plainly spaghetti pasta and a cream sauce. I asked for chicken to be added and was willing to pay extra . But not here. When i received the horrendous plate It was a penne pasta dish with no chicken and definitely no cream and garlic bread that is shop bought. I am no chef but I can basically make a carbonara dish. All the team noted I was not happy and said sorry and offered a glass of wine or dessert. I just wanted what was on the menu . I did not touch the food it was awful. I was told carbonara was a white wine based dish. And then I was told the chef had mixed up the order. I came home home Hungary after having to pay 13.50. This is unacceptable. I ate the side salad of pineapple, coleslaw, strawberries, potato salad......

I stayed in Jackson's Hotel and enjoyed a very nice meal in the Garden Restaurant during my stay. It's a lovely place with very friendly staff and a very relaxing atmosphere. The food is very good and service is excellent. The menu is wide enough to cater for most tastes and prices are very reasonable. Well worth a visit and I'd be happy to recommend it
I have visited several times. Food quite good. Parking good and friendly staff. These visits were in the daytime, i visited on a saturday evening for a pint also. The beer is quite good but this pub lacks ambiance. Its to much like a cafe.
