We had drinks in the Bruce because they offered real ale on tap whereas the other three pubs we found didn't. We drank there on both nights in the village and the bar was cosy and friendly. We also had dinner. It was fine. Nothing special, but it was fine. You don't need to eat in the Bruce if you stay in Falkland, but it was as good as the other places we ate, and, of course, it has REAL ALE on tap. Always a bonus.

A traditional country pub with a warm and welcoming open fire . Bar is open on Friday's from 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 4pm. The PLough is now a drinks only pub, however we will occaisionally have promotions such as Quizzes or Fishy Friday. Kepp an
Took two friends with us to revisit the Plough, which I hadn't visited for years. It was better than I remembered it and well worth the detour around back roads to reach it. Super friendly welcome, extensive (but not too expensive) menu from which we all chose different dishes and none of us was disappointed. Their cups of soup of the day were big and hot and excellent value for money.

I mean this as a compliment, so don't you be taking umbrage! The Village Inn has all of the best of a small restaurant that you'd find in England-and I've been to quite a few, with my family. Very cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere and tables filled with families, enjoying its very good menu. Excellent service. I thoroughly recommend it- and the warm Scottish extras gave it the added edge! Long may Pubs like these continue to serve their communities..

The Lomond Tavern is a historic and picturesque public house and restaurant in the heart of the medieval village of Falkland, fully licensed and offering hearty home-cooked meals. A short walk from the High Street up either Cross Wynd or Back Wynd, the Lo
We were recommended this place by a local. What a fantastic little tavern, tucked up a side street. The menu was full and varied, all home cooked and very friendly staff. We are staying in Stirling so wanted a main meal without chips! We opted for the s steak pie, potatoes and veg. It was absolutely delicious and I havenât tasted a steak pie like that since my Mum made it. Wholesome, very plentiful and extremely tasty. The taverns walls are covered in useful local historical information. VERY highly recommended

An 18th century coaching inn serving good quality home cooked meals and chargrilled steaks in a traditional beamed ceiling bar or a quieter, family friendly dining room.
We had mothers day lunch at the Strath Tavern on Sunday,I had the fish which i have had many times and this was up to the usual excellent standard. ,My wife and daughter had one of the specials on offer (roast beef and Yorkshires) also excellent. We have eaten here on numerous visits and have never been disappointed with either the quality and variety on offer Thank you very much for your comments. We very much value all of our all of our customers and appreciate the continued support we receive from both regular local residents and visitors alike. I look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

**UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT as of December 2018** Family run pub/restaurant located in a small scenic village surrounded by beautiful scenery. Lunches and evening meals are offered and we cater for small or large parties. Friendly atmosphere and a fine selecti
Really been looking forward to our first meal at the Cycle since under new management so popped in yesterday to check out the menu. Delighted to see my husband's favourite mac cheese and plenty of GF options for me. Called in today to eat and discovered the menu on a Sunday does not have a mac cheese! Disappointed to be told it's been removed for the Sunday roast. When asked if it was possible to have the mac cheese, as it's on the kid's menu, was told there was no mac cheese and only veggie options were a salad (who wants a salad on a cold winters day?) or a nut roast (can't eat nuts). Such a shame we ended up eating elsewhere as we are really keen to support our local pub.
