Things to do in Assemini

Prezzi corretti in rapporto a quanto offerto.

Coccinella is a small fast food that exists since 1993. I wanted to give a try since many people told me it was good. Well the pizza is good, above average than any other pizzeria that serves "pizzette" baked in a electric oven. The price is ok for the quantity/quality. I asked a pizza without mozzarella but I paid full margherita price (considering that mozzarella is the most expensive ingredient) + the normal price for an aubergine addition. I also consumed a small portion of french fries, well their frozen goods are surely of quality but 2,30⬠for barely 50grams of fries is a bit steep. If you have fish allergies avoid them, they fry and season fish and fries in the same fryer/container. Couldn't try any of the sandwiches cause there weren't absolutely no vegan options. Avoid saturdays cause the queue is long. I waited 25 minutes for my pizza. I won't be back again.

The Gasthaus opened on May 23rd 1983 is a historic Assemini pub, frequented by a large and beautiful clientele, is a partner of Sky and DAZN, and offers selected craft beers from around the world, appetizers, dishes, delicious desserts and excellent music
What a fantastic selection of beers! Helpful staff, I think the guy who served us was the owner. He recommended "his" beer to us & let us taste a couple before deciding. You can't go wrong with this place if you like your beer! The food is what you'd expect from a pub, nothing fancy but it's good value.

U3 - Birreria Popolare & Steakhouse is the first pub in Uta
Some local friends recommended this restaurant as a "must" visit during our holiday in Sardinia. They told us to book using whatsapp, and it was easy enough. The place is about 20 minutes drive from Cagliari, just off a main road (SS130). There are plenty of parking spaces in the street, very convenient. We were told by our friends to try a special dish, the bue rosso, which we cooked at the table on a hot salty stone. I had never seen anything like this. The staff gave us a big table and were careful to ensure the stone was placed far from the children, warning us about the heat of the stone. We sat at a table with a draft tap embedded in the actual table, another interesting feature of this restaurant. The decor is also very cool, with plenty of very funny plaques written in English: it was fun to read them. There was a kids menu that included a drink a main meal and an ice cream, one had a hot dog and one a hamburger. Their portions were very big and they had chips too. They also had colouring pens and a place mat to draw on, so they were entertained for a while. We had two local beers from Sardinia on draft, American Pale Ale, and it was interesting to know that it was made in Sardinia. Overall it was a unique experience in many different ways, and we were gutted to have visited this place only at the end of our holiday, otherwise we would have probably gone back for a second time!Grazie Peter (thank you).
