Reviews on Pub food in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. Set amid the coastal Chugach Mountains, Anchorage defies popular visions of polar ice caps and frozen tundra. It’s also warmer than you think (averaging 65 degrees in summer), making conditions ideal for sight-seeing or taking on uniquely Alaskan opportunities like arctic biking or touring the fjords of Prince William Sound. In the winter, you can ski, dogsled or do both simultaneously by "skijoring," which is cross-country skiing while being towed by a dog. Hey, it's no crazier a winter sport than the biathlon.

This is the place to go for a good brew and above average sandwiches. I had the southwestern chicken wrap with avocado and my friend had a sweet pork cheeks sandwich with sauce as well as one of their popular home brews. This place knows how to do the simple things well and is recommended.

Bore Tide Deli offers panoramic views of Turnagain Arm, the Chugach Mountain Range, and seven "hanging" glaciers. Bore Tide Deli is a self-service dining experience featuring soups, salads, chili, sandwiches, wraps, and snacks. Whether you are just finish
Given most customers will have prepaid for their meal (included in the tram ticket price) before they arrive at the venue, the choice and quality of the food was surprisingly good. The dining area is large, comfortable and clean with great views and there are also tables outside if you donât mind the wind. The bar serves a good selection of beers and cocktails and there is plenty of water available on tap to stay hydrated, especially if youâve walked up the mountain! The prepayment in the tram ticket gives you a $20 credit, so very good value and worth doing unless you donât plan to eat up there at all or youâre on a super tight budget.

I went here for the purpose of being able to watch the planes take off and land from the water in the lake right in front of the dining area. For this, the place is great. If you are lucky enough to snag an outdoor seat during nice weather it cannot be beat. The food seemed standard fare for what you get at a hotel. Burgers and fries....and the fries seemed like were the kind that were pre-made. The food wasnt bad. The staff were friendly and the prices were acceptable.I would suggest that if you dont know where this is, set your GPS for the Millenium hotel instead of the restaurant name. I wound up in a lot behind the building next door....seemed shady.Matt, thanks for your comments and for supporting The Fancy Moose. We hope that you'll come back and visit us again soon, now that you know precisely where we are. :-)

Cozy and casual local atmosphere. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating on the heated covered patio. Live music. Over 50 beers on tap. Fresh Alaskan seafood. For beer lovers by beer lovers.
We stopped for lunch while exploring the area from our cruise ship due to recommendations by others. It was busy, but we got a seat at the bar & ordered 2 smoke pork plates and 2 beers. The meat was plentiful and food filling. Beer was also gr8.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Dining at Fletcher's is one of those times. This small restaurant is located in the Captain Cook Hotel. Everything on the small menu is always always good. And there is a small rotating menu to keep things interesting. On my most recent visit I had the bacon wrappd shrimp from the appetizer menu. The 3 shrimp were huge and I actually gave away one of them. Another guest ordered the fish and chips: a huge serving and truly fresh fish! I ordered the molten chocolate cake for desseert and 7 spoons. The cake comes with a scoop of raspberry ice cream that really paired well with the deep chocolate cake. While the other guests first claimed they wanted no parts of the dessert, in the end I had one bite and they wiped the plate clean.

At the 49th State-Anchorage, the cultural layers of Alaska unfold around you. Here, you can delve into the long tradition of brewing with our award winning beer, explore a menu filled with freshly sourced Alaskan products, or relax on the rooftop patio ov
The restaurant as said had several floors and sort of different areas: a bar like, a restaurant like and very nice outside ones with a nice view. The prices are OK - and the food was really delicious. Also the different beers were really tasty. The staff also was great - we had an internship who really did a great job and we enjoyed our time there definitely. Thanks for stopping in, appreciate the review. Did you have a favorite dish on your visit? I'm loving our sweet and spicy Brushfire pizza, it has reindeer sausage, jalapeños, a honey drizzle, and more. Hope to see you back soon for more delicious options.

Just got off the trolly tour at the visitors center, time to eat. Just a half a block away was the F street station, we saw it last evening when we were walking off the plane flight, it was full last night and it was full this afternoon but we got a set at the bar overlooking the food preparation and it was fun watching. The two cooks or chefs what ever you want to call them seemed to know what they were doing and seemed to do it well. The food was very good, the special blackened something, (I forgot but it was good) probably the best blackened fish I have had and the chowder was great. The portions were good and the prices reasonable. The staff were very friendly. I would return If I ever get back there.

Really pleased with a recommendation we randomly got to go here for pizza. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. Lots of choices of unique pizzas and the standby build your own. The thai peanut pizza was great.
