Having just returned from 69 days on the road across the USA we have had LOTS of experience with eating out. I would rate this place right up there with places I would like to return to an try something else! We were greated, read the sign to seat ourselves and were promptly served water & Menu's by Netty. The Prime Rib French Dip was the special and my hubby totally enjoyed it AND the accompaning cottage cheese. Our friend had a burger with bacon and guaq and while delicious it was a bit messy! My Cheese burger was delicious. FRESH tomato, onion lettuce & bun would bring me back. I wish, in the last 45 years that we've passed by on our way to Whidbey that we had stopped sooner!!

We had lunch here today with another couple. Let me start out by saying that the service was as mediocre as the food. Maybe they were understaffed. I had their signature waffles and chicken. The waffles had the consistency of cardboard, but the chicken was OK. I would rate it as 4/10. My wife had the Pig Pen, one of their specialty sandwiches. She also rated it as 4/10. The fries were OK, but the biscuit that made up the sandwich was very dry... most left on the plate. One of our friends had the wedge salad (why is the wedge served at room temperature?) again rated 4/10. The dressing was not that great either. Finally, our other friend had the BLT, which she rated at 4/10... the waffle-like bun was very dry. So we sampled quite a few items and they were all mediocre. We won't be back.

Had a family party of 5 and after getting one of our parties order wrong they did make it right and everything tasted good. Had a food allergy to onions and specifically asked for NO ONIONS but that was lost on the order taker. Problem is that when an order is wrong and you have to remake it by the time it comes out everyone else in your party is finished eating and ready to go and then your left trying to eat in a rush and cant really enjoy your meal. Place has a great view of the golf course!

This place is a gas! So many good beers and delicious food. The night we went they had 3 IPAs to choose from, all $3 - my kind of place! And it was wing night, 4 for $4 with several sauces to choose from. Their chicken satay is very good, too. Salads - they got 'em! And the Mariners were on several TVs, which was nice. Finally, if you want to play pool, they have a table in back, where it doesn't bother anyone. I'd love to go on the weekends, when they often have music and it's often blues. Something to shoot for!

Located inside Swinomish Casino & Lodge on the waterfront of Anacortes, Washington, the Swinomish Sports Bar & Grill isn't like your average, run-of-the-mill sports-themed lounge. While most sports bars are sparse in design, the Swinomish Sports Bar & Gri
Pecan crusted chicken for dinner with fresh asparagus and mashed garlic potatoes. Chicken was from local farm and as close as I get to saying 'excellent'. My Husband had a hamburger, which was huge and hot fires. He also ordered chicken wings. Sports bar atmosphere and casual friendly staff. A little slow paced but its a bar. Absolutely packed when we were there for dinner. Seat your self and relax. Pleased with menu. Not sure why this is titled 10 sports Bar. As we noted our receipt was titled, "Sport Bar."

Extremely crowded during Monday night trivia, and extremely loud. One of those places where you have to yell in order to have/hear any conversation. My companions did not care for their dishes (schnitzel and meatloaf - both too dry). However, I got a half-Reuben and house salad, both of which were wonderful - would absolutely order again. My friend also ordered a Thai-inspired cocktail that was very good.

I have always loved this place but haven't gone out to eat for awhile. I decided yesterday late afternoon I wanted a beer and BLT. I decided to go into bar and was extremely pleased. The patrons are great, the bartender was top notch and ended up spending a great hour and a half there. Food and beverage perfect and extremely affordable. Of course it was early. I got there a little after 4 and left at 5:30 but it wasn't at all rowdy. It was more like being in a popular coffee shop that I won't name that had expanded food and beverage selection. I'm definitely going to put it on my weekly splurge list!

We stopped there today for lunch and were very disappointed. 40 minutes before we got menus. Finally got our orders in and told the server that we were in a bit of a hurry. We were told it was an easy order and it would literally be minutes. Waited another 30 minutes and finally asked for our order to go. They got it boxed up and we paid and left. Some time later when we went to eat the takeout order, we were missing a meal. I called the restaurant and asked them to adjust the bill and they were totally confusing and rather rude about the whole deal. I finally just told them to keep their money and hung up. The food was fair at best. The clam chowder was terrible. What a bunch of turkeys.

A late running ferry from the islands lead us to the unhappy discovery that most(?) restaurants in Anacortes seem to close at 8:30 or 9pm. An online search for âlate night diningâ (we're talking 8:55pm here...) led us to the Brown Lantern. What a happy accident! Discovered a very friendly tavern/restaurant (one part of the dining room is all ages) with very good burgers and great service. They won Best Tavern & Best Burger in 2019âs Best of Anacortes and I can see why. The Lamb Burger was tasty & perfectly cooked & bacon cheeseburger was deliciously messy. Interior is lots of dark wood, sort of sports bar meets old timey saloon. Excellent beer selection with lots of small brewery options. The two staff members we met were friendly, funny & welcoming. Now that we know about this place, we will head for it as a first choice when traveling thru Anacortes.
