My spouse and I enjoyed a late lunch of Clam Chowder, Steamers with Garlic Bread and hot Crawdaddy Dip and Tortilla Chips. The chowder was very tasty and substantial with lots of clams, potatoes, celery etc. The crawdaddy dip was to die for; just the right amount of zip to it. The steamers were delicious - lots of garlic! I enjoyed an American Imperial Ale by Prairie Artisan Ales and my spouse a Double Bock by the in house brewery. Both were very, very good. Our waitress, Lindsey, was excellent - attentive, cheerful, and a great customer service asset.

I ate here before hiking (everything tastes good after a long hike!) as well as after the summit.Youâll see pre-post mount Saint hell hikers here...great to get current trail conditions.Big and juicy burger cooked medium with lotsa pink.Good onion rings and fries.Somewhat expensive for a $13 burger but way good.Nice staff. Enter and seat your self.Understand only open for breakfast on the weekends.Way tasty and well worth a stop if youâre not staying here.Thank you for the review! On our off-season (after Labor Day and before Memorial Day) we don't offer breakfast during the week. However, near closing time one of our cooks would be happy to make you a breakfast sandwich to go for your climb. We hope to see you another time if you are willing to climb Mount Saint 'Hell' again!

We stopped here at the recommendation of a local person about their great burgers. Four of us had burgers, they were very average. The âseasoned friesâ were bland and soggy. None of us were impressed without meals. They werenât bad, they were just blah. The prices were way over the top for what we had: 4 burgers, a beer, a glass of wine, 2 sodas and two appetizers cost $95!Servers were friendly and prompt. 3 stars for average food, -1 for the prices. We wonât be back. So sorry you visit was not up to par. Our burgers are made with American Waygu for the great flavor. Our fries should have been crisp. I am also sorry you did not like the value of our products. We hope you will give us another chance. If at any time you are not satisfied with your experience, please ask for a manager and watch how fast we fix it.

They have your regular pub food and some great unusual choices as well: duck on toast, duck or salmon nachos, roasted brussels sprouts, crazy good mac and cheese with great add ins. They also have some good beer and happy hour. Would have given 5 stars if the prices were better

A group of us decided to try this place on one of our bi-weekly outings. From first glance it seemed a little fancy for the area, but the menu was very down to earth. I tried the fondue appetizer and the french dip. Quite tasty. The others in our group also enjoyed their meals. It was a surprising little gem, and if I was passing by, I may stop for another meal, but I don;t think I will make the special trip. Thank you.

There is nothing about this place that is fancy. The building is old. There's not much in decoration or theme but after all, this is Amboy. Thus, I'm certainly not rating the property. This is all about the servers and the food. We've eaten here numerous times over the last few years. It just happens to be in an area we stay during the summer months and there aren't a lot of choices. However, we would still pick Nick's if there were more. The servers are always friendly. They are super efficient and the food has never disappointed us. This time it was the shrimp salad for me. This salad is loaded with shrimp but their fish'n chips is also something I love. My husband had a taco salad and it was also very good.We know we'll be back a few more times this summer before we head south for the winter. Great place!
