Reviews on Pub food in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Ajijic, a small idyllic town in Mexico, is the perfect setting to enjoy a quiet and relaxing holiday. Enjoy a night of lively music in the plaza of this picturesque town or enjoy a stroll along the lakeside path. Visit the colorful Chapala handicrafts market, or relax and enjoy lunch and a beautiful view at the Beergarden restaurant by the pier. If you’re traveling with children, take them to Christiania Park, right next to the market. At the park, they can play on the expansive lawn or on the playground. If you come to Ajijic Mexico, next to Lake Chapala, one of the oldest and nicest cities, has a gringo bar called El Bar Co. Carlos Pantajo bought and old building and built his bar/restaurant and has been building, redesigning and recreating his bar/resta
We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon and were not even sure the place was open. We had hoped for sushi but it appeared to be closed. My husband ordered the burger which was very good except for the plastic cheese like in the states. That is ANOTHER American thing that should not be imported. The best fries we have had so far. The guacamole was okay and the chips were great. My Cesar salad with chicken was good.

Could not have been happier with our dinners. We enjoyed every bit of everything we sampled...from the chorizo with guacamole to the buffalo wings to the kebab to perhaps the best mac and cheese weâve ever had. Excellent! Very happy to support this young, committed and creative chef from an unassuming yet warm location.

After our late evening arrival at the perfect La Nueva Posada in Ajijic, we walked over to La Bodega (maybe three minutes away). On arrival, we discovered the owner was hosting a party, and the place was filled with family, musicians, food and drink!Terrific inexpensive and varied menu. Highly Recommended.

Just a few steps away from Malecon de Ajijic, you can enjoy our famous boar, deer or ostrich burgers, as well as fresh drinks
Three of us stopped here for a snack and drink. Our server, Ricky was excellent and very friendly. The drinks are amazing here. We can back another day for dinner. My friend and I got pasta which was very good. My husband ordered a pepito sandwich and raved about it. We also ordered a fried cheese appetizer which was delicious. It is a small place and they really care about their food and service.
