An idyllic Country Pub, serving a range of traditional meals and real ales.
Six of us stopped off for drinks on the way back from Llantilio Crossenny to Monmouth after a 9-mile walk along Offa's Dyke path today. The pub has a warm friendly atmosphere. Great staff and a lovely log fire. Good displays of old adverts similar to ones I have seen at a few Midlands tourist attractions. If ever we are walking in the area again we know where to come back to for a post-walk drink.Thank you hope we get to see you again.

We came upon the Clytha Arms on 9th May 2019...and during our 3 day stay in Pempergwm...we ate here twice....the staff are very friendly....and the menu is very interesting indeed....I live in a town full of restaurants but this menu is full of unusual food...we enjoyed both our meals and found the prices including alcohol to be very reasonable..if we pass this way again we will definitely come back....oh and our dog was welcome too..

We were staying on the caravan site opposite and decided to try The Old Pandy Inn for a bar meal. So surprised by the local produce and the quality of the food. We will be returning tomorrow evening for some more. Lamb Shank & Faggots recommended.

Enjoy great food and accommodation against the stunning backdrop of the Brecon Beacons National Park
Iâm a weekly regular at this pub I love it so much here the food is always stunning. Always love to eat here even if something does go wrong it is always amazing. Thanks for the service. One thing I would really like to stress so much is BRING BACK THE CHORIZO CHICKEN!! it was the best thing on the menu and I miss it so much I always want it when I come here. Itâs a chicken mozzarella stuffed chorizo breast stunning red wine sauce and mash and veg. I miss it so much I wish I could make it. Please please please bring it back.Hi HClaire724,Thank you for your recent feedback here on TripAdvisor. We are glad to hear your enjoy your visits here and I have passed your request on to the catering team regarding the stuffed chicken, we are due a menu change shortly for winter and I will see we can add this back to our specials board.

Not once we we asked how our meals were nor if we wanted any sauce etc. We had to leave meals to queue up at the bar. The steaks were not the best either.

We visited this pub during the Abergavenny Food Festival. There was a good selection of beers on offer, the food was very good, competitively priced and the staff were warm and friendly. There was ample seating outside with live music, which created a real carnival atmosphere. We would certainly recommend family and friends visiting this gem of a pub when in Abergavenny.

A family owned freehouse situated in Abergavenny on Baker Street. Good homemade food and refreshing drinks. Large enclosed beer garden at the rear.Modern pub which serves 3 real ales,4 largers, 2 ciders, lovely Wine and a large selection of Gin with over 2
Hubby and I called here twice over the Abergavenny Food Festival. Firstly on the Friday night we called for an evening meal. The pub was quite busy but staff still had time to make us welcome. Hubby enjoyed the catch of the day - haddock. And I had a burger, which was lovely. They were big meals and either of us could finish them unfortunately! We called again on the Sunday evening supposedly for a last drink before heading back to our rental property. But the landlord was running a quiz so we decided to join in. We were âhim and herâ. We really enjoyed ourselves and will certainly call back next year if we can sort out a rental property.
