A little disapointed that the upstairs Resteraunt was not open in the evening. We have used the resteraunt in the passed and found it excellent. However they promised us a good table in the down stairs pub, which after some difficulty did materialise. The service was great and the food was brilliant, also very reasonably priced.I had the Black Pudding with Apple fritters to start which I would highly recommend.Three out of the four of us went for the Fish and Chips and all ageed that they were well presented and very tasty.

Whether you are after a spot of lunch, a delicious home-cooked dinner, or simply want to pop in for a drink or snack, step inside and experience our relaxed and charming atmosphere.
We drove over on a friend's recommendation and after checking online if it was open, supposedly it's open for dinner service.Sadly it was not ,restaurant was fully closed up.If you're going to run a business the most basic item on your agenda is ensuring all of your marketing channels have up to date opening times.I hope they're open on our next visit , I've been informed the food is excellent.Thank you for your feedback on how to run a business. In regards to our business hours listing, we have actually contacted trip advisor and Facebook many times to try and change them, emailed them and this has been going on since last year. Maybe you could suggest how we could correct this as part of our marketing? To give us a one star just for being closed is completely out of order in our opinion when we work our bums off and put our heart and soul into what we deliver when we are open. We Pride ourselves on good home cooked food with great service. Please take a second to think how a one star review for just being closed could affect a small family run business. We understand driving over and being closed has led to disappointment but we didnât receive any messages to check before hand, all our reviews do suggest booking as we do get extremely busy so if you had come, maybe we wouldnât of been able to accommodate you. Would we then have received a one star review for that as well? Going forward, we can only keep trying to change the hours by sending more messages to update it.

The Victoria Inn is open Tuesday- Sunday. Closed Monday. Week days 12-3 and 5-11.30 Wkend we are open from 12-11.30
The Victoria is a great pub with plenty of outside sitting & very friendly staff. As a family of 6 we ordered different things if the menu. Minted Lamb pie was very nice, but the fish & chips was not so good, the fish was nearly all batter & not very nice, one of our party had Macaroni Cheese which was rather greasy and she left most of it. It would be great if the food improved.

Although thisnpub always seems to be busy, it lacks in space, quality, service and cleanliness.Overpriced food and drinks, unclean tables, floors and toilets, and service is not the best even with basic things! When this was built they should of made it twice the size, and I'm afraid they are losing business right left and centre, because people just walk in and walk straight out again. If you want a drink and have no care for comfort or anything else, then this is your place. If you want good food, nice furnishings and value for money, this is not your place.Dont recommend and wont be visiting again I'm afraid.

Located off the A493 in Pennal , the Riverside restaurant is an attractive venue with a pleasant ambience. Parking is available on the site. The restaurant is cosy, very popular and booking is advisable. Our hosts recommended this venue for an evening meal, and it turned out to be the best meat dish I've had anywhere. Described as Welsh Lamb Steak, it was large, cooked to perfection accompanied with vegetables and chips which I chose rather than those for this dish shown on the menu. A truly superb meal. Highly recommended.
What a lovely little find, we went for Sunday lunch which was a carvery. We had a starter each, the dishes were nicely presented, the carvery meats were beautifully cooked and included on the specials board was lamb pie, gorgeous! The team were very welcoming, there was a lovely atmosphere and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Attended the Dovey Inn today to try out their sunday lunch & watch the Chelsea/Liverpool game.We ordered drinks from their wide selection of ales & gins prior to ordering the food.We both opted for the sunday roast. The food arrived in no time at all & was excellent. The staff were also excellent & Liverpool beat Chelsea 2.1.Result.Hi Q45591Cphillipb,Thanks for your great review of us! We are glad that you enjoyed your Sunday roast and that your day ended with a great result as well :-)We look forward to welcoming you back to The Dovey soon.Kind regards,Marc EeleyGeneral Manager

Itâs all just average, beer could be so much better, so many fantastic brewerys within 40 miles and all they have is Marstons products. Some of the bar staff are great and knowable, others are rude and donât care. Food is ok but could be so much better.

Situated halfway between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth, The Wildfowler is the perfect place to find a warm, friendly atmosphere accompanied with good food, warm fire in the bar and a choice of multiple ales and wines.
After years of passing in and out of Borth on holiday and going past we took the plunge on some recommendations and were not left disappointed! We had sunday roast with all the trimmings , I had pork my wife had the lamb (mint sauce served separate!!) Kids soon finished their meals, we were not far behind! Desserts were delicious I had sticky toffee pudding and my wife had profiteroles. Staff efficient and friendly, Highly recommended.

This has been one of our favourite places for years, we have stayed here many times and always eat here when visiting so we were really looking forward to our dinner in the bar.The menu looked smaller than normal but that was ok. I had the fish and chips and my partner the steak, both these we have had before however the quality this time was not there. The mushy peas looked like they had come from a can, the fish was tasteless and greasy and the steak was mainly fat and gristle. We did tell the bar man when he asked if all was ok and he just said oh! And walked away to the kitchen and we got no further response or recognition of the complaint. We paid in full but wonât be returning for food unless the quality goes back to its previous standards.Hello IRFTNYT, Thank you for your review, sorry to hear about your recent experience, I would love to discuss this in more detail. if you would be so kind as to give me a call on 01654 767215 or email [email protected]. I look forward in hearing from you. Kind RegardsNicola
