Had a most perfect seafood platter here. Lovely helpful waiters. Mix of oysters, 2 sizes of prawns and perfect dressed and lightly spiced crab. Mayonnaise was perfect as well. Pringle style chips also great. Chose a light white wine as per advice and total meal was â¬80

Simple but friendly and cozy atmosphere. The service is quite good. The lady who served us was very, very nice and quite efficient. You really waited very little for having your complete meal on the table. There were two fish and two meat choices as "day plates". Beyond these you have a choice of about 30 other meat and fish dishes. The "arroz de pato" (duck meat rice) and "cavala grelhada" (grilled fish) were very good. The vegetables were great. The list of wines is quite acceptable.
We had a fabulous evening at Barriga Verde. The owner, David, is very friendly and speaks excellent English. We tried local port (no label on the bottle!), red wine, and local cheese and meat. Great place to meet friendly locals, who shared good conversation and tips on where to go in the region.

Family restaurant with regional and homemade dishes served with sympathy. We speak english, french, italian, spanish and portuguese.
Exceptional hosts that combined speak Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and English.Itâs a very clean please, nice bar off to one side, but not old style. This is a relatively new building. There are local specialties and the old standbys like steak.I like octopus, and this was the best Iâve have in Spain and Portugal. We were made to feel very welcome even though we arrived in full motorcycle gear on a very hot day.Thank you very much for such a great review! We work very hard to offer the best food and to welcome our customers in the best way possible. It was a pleasure to have you in our restaurant and to read such a nice review.

Other than the occasional stray passenger from the cruise ships attempting to "go local", this place only caters for inhabitants of this small village. However, a little english is spoken.Perfectly adequate food in a perfectly clean establishment. Nothing too thrilling but nothing too drastically wrong either.

Two young men run this restaurant trying to cater to a locale clientele and to the more sophisticated eater who comes by. It is unpretentious and yet with notes of delicate invention. The wine choices are excellent!

Small but cosy and very clean restaurant near Douro river. Quite restricted menu, delicious Mirandese (AOC) veal meat grilled and tasty served after o choice of small starters "Petiscos" specialities of the region. Very good home deserts, cream and puddings. Decent choice of wines. Very friendly and pleasant service.

Conveniently located and housed in this contemporary styled museum with a spetacular view of the river, it offers subdued efficient service, with Portuguese dishes, such as Cod with walnut and chestnut. It is not the cheapest but it does not break the bank either. The portions are generous, so be aware of it when ordering. Reservations are advised or get there by 12:30 as it fills out quickly.

The restaurant will be closed from 23rd of December 2015 until 10th of February 2016.
This tiny little restaurant is in te middle of nowhere which comes with a breathtaking view. Food is authentic and tasty and service is excellent. We were brought there by the train station manager who recommended it. Even though the restaurant was full they made sure we could finish within one hour to catch the train back to porto. The warmth with which we were received made me feel like home. The manager, jean, made the time to bring us back to the train by car so we wouldn't miss it. Impressed by the personal service. The place is the perfect eating location if u take the train to pocinho and back. Just skip pocinho ;). Its worth it
