I have visited MANY times. Smiles, spotlessly clean, brilliant food, lots of it and a better salad bar than any I have found in Portugal. Add to that a very good price and you just can't lose!Right on the N17 and a huge car park too. It is self-service, but I really like this as you can see exactly what you are about to eat! 5 stars aren't enough

Lovely newly refurbished restaurant. Comfortable chairs, lovely menu of the day. Including the soup and puddings. Very relaxed atmosphere. Understated outside, so someone might miss this little gem! We will visit again.Thank you Mr_and_Mrs_and_SonI hope see you soon.Pedro Correia

We had a very interesting salad with mellon and ham. The main dish was a but dry (partridge). we asked for it because we knew we would get something typical from the region.Service is fast but could be "nicer".Music selection is at spanish style. Maybe to be revised.Decoration is warm and cosy. Very interesting.Toillets were clean.

Traditional Portuguese food
This restaurant is cozy and inviting with a fireplace, plants and friendly service. Our meal was abundant, and we were introduced to some new tastes- particularly on the sausage & cheese starter platter. A great place for a pleasant and ample family lunch.

Perfect gluten-free options! What a little treasure this was & if some locals hadnât taken us there we would never have found it. Tastefully decorated. Excellent service & advice from the staff. The food was amazing! Squid ink linguine with grilled prawns, puff pastry pillows filled with goats cheese & delicious âsteak, egg & chipsâ & a delicious lime pie (kind of like lemon meringue pie). The cold baked custard dessert was not to my taste & I am a real fan of custards. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. (No food pics - sorry)

We inform you that the restaurant "Gandiço" is temporarily closed. Will reopen briefly with some news.
It was very quiet when we were there early December. The restaurant is peaceful and nicely decorated and service is professional. We found it a little expensive for what was served. We had the cataplana for 2 (â¬32) which was recommended but it really wasn't enough food and we are not big eaters! Too much sauce and not enough substance. Having said that the flavours were good. Possibly trying too hard and not quite getting the balance right. We would like to come back when they have found their feet - I think there is promise of being a very good eatery in a lovely setting.

Wow! Had a fantastic family evening at this restaurant. We did not book and had no problem securing a table for 6. Good atmosphere and even better food. Servings are large so maybe under order. Haha. Fantastic dessert selection too. Free wifi was a bonus. Good parking too.

Exploring this part of Portugal for the first time we landed up in Coja and found this wonderful little place with both inside tables and a terrace that overlooks the river. A different eating experience that we really enjoyed. The owner, her son and the the staff were all lovely and we left with several of the home made jams made by the grandmother. We will be back ...
