Comida extraordinariamente bem servida (a nÃvel de quantidade) e muito boa. Vários práticos tÃpicos portugueses que representam bem a nossa fabulosa gastronomia. Além disto, é numa região linda de Portugal que merece ser visitada: Gerês!

I start by saying that motosports are not my game.... My father in law loves it, and he mentioned that at Montalegre there was a Rallycross championship only for the weekend and it was fun to watch. So I thought... "hhmmmm... maybe this is a only an excuse to go out for the weekend!!! " and so we did, we booked a room in a hotel nearby and so we went to Montalegre. Arrived at the Circuit at about 14 hrs,and then we went for some sight seeing in the village (deserted I should say). Lovely! Fantastic! what a place to visit! we went back to the circuit. At dinner time the question raised.... where to eat??? well a friend of my father in law's said he knew two or three restaurants we could try... all closed!!!! Then we decided to insert in the GPS "restaurants"... what was the first option??? "the Taberna Ti Ana da Eira" ... we called immediately to book the table and luckly the cook waited for us!!! when we arrived we were quickly addressed to a table already set for us. We asked for recommendations and we were dazzled!! home cook, tasty, wonderful!!! the wine was perfect, the desserts were to die for!!!please give it a try!! Visit Montealegre!!!

We were on a 5 day visit to the far northern part of Portugal. We had visited Soajo and explored the town and sites. Our guide planned lunch here. We were surprised when we arrived and saw the lovely restaurant. We ate outside but there is also a large indoor eating area.We had a variety of things for lunch: fresh mushrooms, peppers, cabbage & Carrot soup, chorizo, fish, chicken and honey cake. What an assortment. We learned that our host had grown up in Salem, MA. That explained his MA accent when speaking english! His family had come back to Portugal and he decided to return with his family and work in the restaurant. They procure much of their meat, vegetables, and fruit locally. The setting, food and company were excellent.I highly recommend this as a place to eat when you are in northern Portugal. It is a gem!!!

We arrived here rather by accident, but were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Great food, excellent service and a very friendly host. The owner lived in the US, so speaks perfectly English.Try the steak, it's delicious. So is the local wine, vinho verde, recommended by the owner. But also the other meals we had were decent. And good value for money Highly recommended

Eating at "Lindoverde" is just an incredible experience. The food is affordable and delicious, the staff is friendly and attentive and there are amazing breath taking views of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. What else can you ask for?! We had a great family Sunday lunch. Definitely a place to come and enjoy quality time. We recommend you try "Bacalhau com Broa" (cod with a corn bread crust) and for dessert "DelÃcia da Casa" (the restaurant's special dessert). We will surely come back.

We were on a car drive through the area and realised that weâd probably missed lunch service when we noticed this restaurant and went in. What a find! The opening nibbles were abundant and included really lovely garlicky olives, two types of fresh bread and flavoured butter and a dip with little toasts. All served with cold beer and really good red wine. So welcome on a hot day. The meal for lunch was the house special of three different cuts of real cooked in the traditional way and served with potatoes. There was a fragrant rice accompanying the meal and vegetables which my partner loved. The rice has a really interesting local sausage which was delicious. We also appreciated the explanation of each dish - just made the experience much more enjoyable. We also enjoyed the conversation with the owner about what had brought him back from overseas (love) and what he and his wife are trying to achieve. At the end we got to talk to some local ladies and got a gift of some figs from the owner. Loved it.

Passing by Lindoso after having visited Soajo (check out the awesome bathing spot Ponca Negra right hand side at EM530, bring a towel), we stayed for lunch. Truly genuine and attentive staff (on a learning curve though :-) ). We had Lamb ribs with salad and delicious potatoes and.m a fish dish ( For a change, no bacalhau but a white sweetwater fish). All delicious. Also try the carrot-cinnamon cake. Some trouble with ordering and billing, but very kind and - as said- genuine people. Also offering overnight options.

A simple and cosy restaurant, in this singular village. Everything is new, simple and impeccable clean in this family-run establishment. No problem at all for arriving a bit late by the country standards, or if you want something special. You´ll feel the hospitality that is only found in rural areas nowadays. The restaurant consists of a vast room, modern and simple, and it looks as if the business is focused on family gatherings. Almost all the clients were local. Traditional food, based on the typical dishes of inland areas. Fast service, cheap prices. Nice and friendly staff. Lots of space for parking outside.
