We treat custumers like friends. We treat friends like family. With treat family with love.
Weâve eaten here before, though never on the terrace. The food has always been delicious and the staff friendly and efficient and our most recent visit was no exception. Padron Peppers, Grilled Chicken in a Madeira sauce followed by Almond and Fig tart all beautifully prepared and delicious.Reasonable priced, quality food served by friendly efficient staff - what more could you want?

Excellent food and service but to be honest Alvor as a whole did not disappoint in either. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and polite. The food was excellent as mentioned. We had four different dishes and none disappointed. The prawn curry has strawberrys at the side (unexpected and just a warning for those like me who are allergic to strawberries - it's a shame as I really wanted to try the curry)The steak was excellent as we're the fried prawns and the small squid. We fed four, had sparkling water for all, a beer, a bottle of red wine, a small/ half bottle of green wine, starters of seafood paté, bread an olives and four main courses and were provided with a small and free glass of port each. All in â¬104 plus a tip of my choice. You get spoiled in Alvor for service and the food quality and this place has to be up there with the best in the local area.Of course, we would visit again.

Nice staff, but: When one orders aspargues with maionnaise as a starter, one doesn't expect to get canned aspargues and mayonnaise from the supermarked. And when one orders breast of duck for the main course, one doesn't expect to get it thawn in the micro before prepared in the oven. This way of preparing the duck breast is below any standard for a restaurant. The duck came with overboiled carrots and cabbage. When we also had to wait about half an hour for the main course, with such a poor outcome, we easily decided never to visit this place again.

Attended last night and by the time we left the restaurant had become extremely busy most had booked ahead but we managed to get a table without booking. We had soup starters then a chicken in roquefort sauce and OH had pork fillet with onions and mushrooms. The food was excellent and the bill with a bottle of wine was 48euros. The service was excellent.

Tapas place with excellent wines, all kinds of snacks, good cold beer and great smooth and relaxing music.
We went to Tapas and UVA after researching on TripAdvisor. It is a little iff the beaten track but that should not put you off. From outside it does not look much, but we were given a warm welcome and offered an outside table which we were happy with as it was a very warm evening. The menu is not too big so the waitress who was very friendly gave us advice on how many dishes ae should choose. We had a cheese and meat board to share it was delicious. Followed by garlic prawns, then the mussels......which I do not normally like but they were amazing, great sauce. Finally the pork cheeks which I always enjoyI had a nice glass of red local wine and hubby several of the rose.A final port to finish with ended a great meal and findThe service was fantastic, very attentive staff who were happy to chat It was very well priced and I was sorry we ran out of days to return. It is one we hope will still be here when we next visit Alvir.

We wanted to take some friends who live in the Algarve somewhere they hadnât been before - I think it was a good choice. We shared four different tapas as starters, ranging from scrambled egg to chourico assado, all really good. For our main courses, two of us had pork cheeks, I had bifinhos de frango and my friend had arros tamboril. The food was good quality, well cooked and served nicely. The restaurant decor is modern, the tables are well spaced, the maître d' is helpful and knowlegable, especially about local wine. It is more of a restaurant than wine bar and being a little off the beaten track, easily missed, itâs bmid-range in price, and we can recommend it.

Excellent grilled fish
We've reviewed this restaurant twice before and were looking forward to eating here again this year. It was even better than we remembered. I always order grilled Sea Bass and it is as good as it gets here. Beautifully crispy on the outside and soft and flavoursome on the inside. All this from a charcoal grill, amazing! My wife was equally enthusiastic about the Monkfish Kebab. All this can be had with wine and beer for around £45.00. Fantastic value. Service is friendly and attentive, and they always remember you when you return the next year.

We had booked this 3 months in advance and had high expectations following a friend's visit. In summary, it is just brilliant. The attention to detail is great and the staff are friendly and professional. Front man had exacting details of all the dishes and guided us to the perfect choices. Sorbet with spumante after the starters prepared us for the mains, all cooked to perfection, the best steak I have eaten - ever.Everything about our meal was lovely. With drinks, desserts and irish coffee to finish we paid around £34 each - very good value.
